Topic: Earth and Earth Systems
Grade and Section: Grade 11
Date:
Teacher: MELFE JOHN G. CEREZO
Content Standard: The learners demonstrate understanding of the the Earth’s
internal structure.
Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to conduct a survey or design a study
to assess the possible hydrometeorological hazards that your
community may
experience. (Note: Select this performance standard if your
school is in an area that is frequently hit by tropical cyclones and
is usually flooded.)
Learning Competency: The learners shall identify the layers of the Earth (crust,
mantle, core).
Mode of Delivery: Face-to-face Instruction
I. Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
Identify different types of Natural Resources; and
Suggest ways to conserve and protect Earth’s Natural Resources.
II. Subject Matter:
EARTH’S NATURAL RESOURCES

EXPLAIN
Explain to the students the processes
involved in the formation of natural
resources, such as fossilization, deposition,
and biological processes and suggest ways
on how to conserve and protect Earth’s
Natural Resources.
Answer the following guide questions:
1. How can you identify the different (Answers may vary)
natural resources?
2. As a student in today’s era, do you (Answers may vary)
think we could still have these natural
resources in the future?Why?
3. From your own observation on the (Answers may vary)
current status of our natural resources
today, how can a student like you help in
conserving and protecting the natural
resources?
ELABORATE
A. Engage students in a class activity to
explore the impact of human activities on
natural resources if we cannot find ways to
save our natural resources.
Examples: Pollution, mining, or excessive
water usage.
B. Assign each group a specific human
activity and task them to brainstorm and
discuss the potential consequences on natural
resources.
C. Instruct the groups to present their
findings to the class, including the negative
effects and possible solutions to mitigate
those effects.
D. Facilitate a class discussion to evaluate
the impact of natural resources and explore
possible solutions.
EVALUATE
I. Directions: Identify the what natural
resources describe below. Write your
answers on the space provided before each
number.
__________1. Nuclear Energy Energy Resources
__________2. Diamond Mineral Resources
__________3. Agricultural Land Land Resources

2. Imagine you're in charge of a school
project to save water and energy. Some Answers may vary
students don't seem interested. How
would you convince them to join in and
help conserve resources?
HOMEWORK
“NATURAL RESOURCES COLLAGE”
Instructions:
a. Look through magazines or newspapers
to find pictures of natural resources like
water, trees, animals, and clean air.
b. Cut out the pictures you like and arrange
them on the poster board or construction
paper.
c. Glue or tape the pictures onto the paper
to create your collage.
d. Add any words or captions that explain
why it's important to protect natural
