2.9 Angles of Triangles

The document discusses properties of angles in triangles. It defines angles and their measurement in degrees. It states the properties that the sum of interior angles is 180 degrees and that an exterior angle is equal to the sum of the two opposite interior angles. Examples demonstrate finding missing interior and exterior angles using these properties.

Interior Angle Each exterior angle is equal to

sum of the two opposite interior angles
Sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180°

A + B + C = 180° D=A+B
A = 180° − B − C D = 180° − C

e.g. e.g.
𝑥 = 180° − 60° − 60° 𝑥 = 50° + 60°
60° 50°
= 60° = 110°

Ans. 𝑥 = 60° 𝑥 Ans. 𝑥 = 110°
