8.2 The chemical composition shall he deter
mined. either by the methods specified in
JS 3685 : 1966 or any other established instrue
mental/chemial method. In case of dispute the
“procedure specified in 18 3685 : 1966 shall be

9 TENSILE PROPERTIES
9.1 The material when tested in accordance with
18 2654: 1977 shall conform to the tensile and
elongation properties as specified in Table 2.
9.2 The tensile test shall be made on test pieces
machined to shape and largest dimensions prac
ible as specified in IS 2654: 1977 from the
samples selected in accordance with 11.3,
9.3 Up to and including 32. mm rods, the eenteal
