Transfer Goal:
The learners in the long run and on their own will be able to develop their communicative
competence and enhance their cultural and multi-cultural awareness by providing them opportunities
for communicating effectively and appropriately in multi- cultural context authentically, tactfully and
unpretentiously.
Essential Understanding:
1. communication process and barriers of communication play a vital role to communicate effectively,
accurately, ethically and creatively in diverse social cultural, academic and professional setting.
Essential Question:
1. Why do we need to have key components in communication?
2. How are these components help us to effectively communicate in diverse social cultural, academic and
professional setting?

Review: (Asking Questions)
Why there is a need to communicate?
Focus:
Communication Process, Barriers of Communication
Vocabulary:
Noise – Any barrier preventing effective communication process.
Motivation:
A. Picture Analysis
Activating Prior Knowledge:
a. Based on the picture, what are the indicator as to how communication takes place?
II. Lesson Development
A. Presentation of Concepts
Students will know:
1. Elements of communication, barriers of communication
Students will be able to:
1. Explain the process of communication
2. Illustrate communication process by the use of “Scenario Illustration Template”.

The students will be divided into six ( 6 ) groups. Each group shall be given one common access
to Kahoot quiz online platform. Each of the member shall help each other to arrive on a common
answer on the live quiz assessment for:
1. Elements of Communication
2. Barriers of Communication
C. Broadening of Concept
1. Is effective communication depending on the components of communication?
2. Can a communication take place even if there is an absent of one component?
D. Integration
ICV/RV: EXCELLENCE / INTEGRITY , COMPETENCE
Indicator: Expresses one’s self authentically, tactfully and unpretentiously
Ask: why there is a need to communicate authentically, tactfully and unpretentiously?
SO: Social Media : Teach students to become media literate especially in immersing themselves in
virtual reality and engagements.
Ask: why do we need to become media literate?
LAD: Health (Mental Health) teach students to protect their mental health in order to communicate
effectively
Ask: Why there is a need to be mentally healthy?
BR: Proverbs 10:9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways
crooked will be found out.
Ask: Why do we need to live life with integrity?
III. Evaluation/ Assessment
Directions : Each Group shall create a specific scenarios that shows how the model below
illustrates various components of communication. The group shall access and submit their work
at Jamboard.com.
