Android Mobile Production Planning Case STUDY

OBJECTIVE - To sell 5000 units of Android mobiles within three months in Satara City.

INTRODUCTION -

An Android phone is powerful high tech smartphone that runs on the Android
operating system developed by Google & is used variety of mobile phone
manufacturers.

Android phone make up over 70% of all phones bought across the world while Apples
iPhones only account for 27 %.

There are nearly 1300 brands that have produced over 24000 distinct Android devices.
Google play offers over 1 million apps for Android devices from developers all over the
world.

The First android phone launched in India was the HTC Dream. It was released in India in
early 2009. India had 1.2 billion mobile subscribers of which about 75 crores are
smartphone users. 5G smartphone contributed 29% of overall shipments. Samsung led
the 5G smart Cphone segment with a 25 %share, Followed by vivo & one plus.

The planning process is based on projections about the future. A planning premise is a
set of assumptions that are derived from forecasting the future.

1) Understand your customer better -what are their need, use method to gather
customer insights, such as surveys, feedback analytics & social media. You can Segment
them into different groups & offering to each segment
2) Analyze your competitors – What are their products, prices features & benefit. You
can use SWOT analysis, competitor matrix & benchmarking to compare & contrast your
competitors & identify gaps & advantages in the market. You can find ways to
outperform way
3) Explore new markets – Not only Satara city, explore new markets in nearby places.
Market research & analysis & market penetration to access the potential & feasibility of
new market & develop a market entry strategy. By exploring new market you can
increase your customer base, diversify your revenue streams.
4) Optimize your sales funnel – Using tools of social selling, advertisement campaign
in satara & enhance your sale. You can generate more leads, close more deals & retain
more customer.
5) Leverage your referrals –Leverage your referrals & word to mouth marketing. You

offline campaigns.
 Distribution channels were established, including partnerships with local retailers.
