Reported question
In reported questions, we change:

 Tenses in the same way as for reported statements,

 Locations, pronouns, time references, etc.

When we report questions, we use an affirmative sentences word order (not a question
word order), so in reported questions the subject comes before the verb.
Example: I asked them why it was called the green room.
NOT I asked them why was it called the green room.
