MAIN TARGETS
6.1. The overview of Problem and the rules of
Problem-solving skill
6.2. Solving team’s problems in Community Project
6.3. Solving class’s problems in OISP Camp
6.4. Discussing Community Project Phrase 2
6.5. Discussing OISP Camp

PREPARATION
SUGGEST (for Experienced Activities)
• Maze picture A1
3
6.0. Check online study &
Q&A for students (if any)
• Lecturers open online study results via BKel
to check students’ assignments.
• Answer questions from students or put them
into discussion.
• Lecturer may deeper check the knowledge by
asking randomly students to answer relevant
lessons.
4
6.1. The overview of Problem and
the rules of Problem-solving skill
Lecturer gives
each group a
maze picture,
asking
students to
help the boy
find a way to
go to school
and get the
necessary
tools
5
6.2. Practicing applying tools to
define causes
• Ask teams to list down all the problems they are
facing in Community Project
• Lecturer synthesizes the difficulties, selects out 5-
6 problems which are most important. Gives each
group A1 paper, asks them to apply the problem-
solving process to solve the problem teacher
assigns.

Steps to find cause using Fish bone
• Step 1: Sketch a fish
• Step 2: After outlining our complete fish skeletons, record information onto this skeleton.?
First fish: the problem should be resolved to learn the cause.?
On the main skeletal branches recorded main cause groups.
The group is usually the main cause: Man-Equipment-material-measuring method
Environment (5M-1E)
• Step 3: On the main skeletal branches we draw the particle skeletal branches, showing in
detail the causes of the causes on the arm bone. Since then made remedies? To find out the
cause we must know how to operate the application placing the following 5 types of
questions (5W-1H):
• Who (Who): The issue of whom? Who is responsible? ...
• What (What): What happened? What causes this problem? ...
• Where (Where): This issue occurred where? ...
• When (When): This issue occurs when? ...
• Why (Why): Why was happening?
• How (How): How does it happen? Fix what? ...

6.3. Solving class’s problem in
OISP Camp
List the problems of Camp class facing
Solving the common problems class facing
(*) Lecturer/Teaching assistant takes time for
Camp monitor leads the meeting, giving
opinions (if needed)
8
Metaplan: Group-thinking method to find out the reasons of a
problem
Steps
• Step 1: One person to be the leader and raises the issue to be
addressed
• Step 2: Members of brainstorm and write down their opinions
• Step 3: The members present their ideas which are not supposed to
be judged
• Step 4: The team classify and analyze it, comment on the
similarities, differences to find the cause of the problem 9
Decision Matrix Analysis: Use to select the optimal solution. In
this technique, list the rows of solutions you come up with, and
the column is the criteria. For each criterion, rate each solution
on a scale of 0 to 5 (0 is bad, 5 is very good). Add up the criteria
for each solution, and you’ll know which solution has the highest
score
For example: You want to buy a laptop and are wondering which
one to choose from A, B, C
Cost Quality Design Warranty Policy Sum
A 3 2 5 3
B 1 4 2 4
C 0 5 4 5
(*) The matrix has no weight
If there are criteria that you think are more important than the
others. You can assign a weight to each criterion. For example:
Cost Quality Design Warranty Policy Sum
Weight 3 2 1 4
A 9 4 5 12 30
B 3 8 2 16 29
C 0 10 4 20 34
10
(*) The matric has weight
6.4. Discuss Community
Project Phrase 2
• Lecturer/TA in turn comes to each group to
listen to the progress and the difficulties they
are facing
11
6.5. Discuss OISP Camp
• Lecturer/Class Supporter takes time for
Camp monitor leads the meeting, giving
opinions (if needed)
12
6.6. Doing Individual
Presentation
Lecturers give random draws or use the application
https://www.classtools.net/random-name-picker/ to pick
3 to present.
After the student presents, the teacher will grade point
A.3.1.
