FADE IN:

INT. STEPHEN'S ROOM - NIGHT 1

ESTABLISHING SHOT:
Pan slightly right to reveal Stephen slumped on the sofa. He
holds a phone to his ear and squints at his laptop.

CLOSE-UP 2

The camera pans slightly right in the center of the frame to


reveal Stephen hunched over his laptop, checking the screen
while holding a phone to his ear.

STEPHEN
(Through the phone)
Are we close to finishing the essay…?

CLOSE UP - LAPTOP SCREEN 3

MATTHEW (V.O)
Uh… It’s on Google Drive. I sent it to you.
The Google Drive document on the laptop’s screen displaying an
unfinished essay.

CUT BACK TO:

CLOSE UP - STEPHEN'S FACE 4

Stephen sighs deeply, puffing out a small breath of air. A


hint of worry is etched on his face.

STEPHEN
(Through the phone)
(Sighs) Do you think we can turn it in by 11:59?
MATTHEW (V.O)
(muffled) I think so.

CUT BACK TO:

CLOSE UP - LAPTOP SCREEN 5

The screen flickers and a notification pops up: "Anonymous


Phantom (commented)". Below it, a comment reads: "I doubt it.”

CUT BACK TO:

CLOSE UP - STEPHEN'S FACE 6

Stephen raises an eyebrow, a mix of confusion and concern


washes over him.

STEPHEN
(Through the phone)
Did you invite someone?

MATTHEW (V.O)
No,but it's set to public.

OVER THE SHOULDER - LAPTOP SCREEN 7

We see Stephen's hands typing on the keyboard. On the screen,


a Google Doc displays comments from Stephen and Anonymous
Phantom.
STEPHEN
(Comment on Google Docs)
Who are you?

ANONYMOUS PHANTOM
(Comment on Google Docs)
Someone very close to you.

STEPHEN
(Comment on Google Docs)
Prove it.

CLOSE UP - LAPTOP SCREEN 8

A new notification appears in the center of the screen: "Video


Call Request: Anonymous Phantom”

CUT BACK TO:

CLOSE UP - STEPHEN'S FACE 9

Stephen's eyes widen in shock. His jaw drops open, and a look
of pure terror dawns on his face.

CLOSE UP - LAPTOP SCREEN (VIDEO CALL) 10

Stephen's face fills the screen, his expression one of sheer


horror. He screams silently, as his eyes fixated on something
beside him.. A dark, tall, scary figure, smiling creepily.

A faint, creepy tune fades in: "Close to You".


FADE OUT.
