Athletics Ground Rules

1. The World Athletics 2021–2022 rules will be applied.


2. Finalists will be determined by the best time.
3. An athlete is allowed to compete in three (3) individual events and two (2) relays.
4. A team may enter two (2) athletes per individual event.
5. The entry form should be prepared by rank, according to fastest to slowest or farthest to nearest,
indicating Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Prepared 3 copies to be submitted during the solidarity meeting
to the tournament secretaries.
6. All athletes must wear their delegation identity uniform and assigned athletes’ bib numbers (front and
back) when reporting at the roll call area and during the competition.
7. No coaches or any party identified with an athlete is allowed within the vicinity of the playing area.
They should stay outside the control fence or at the grandstand. If the rule is violated, a warning card
(yellow) is shown to the coach or any party with an athlete, and the second time, a red card will be
shown, and the athlete will be disqualified from the competition.
8. The rule of succession is not applied. But make sure to fill out the change of athlete form and submit it
to the records a day before the event. Failure to do so will result in athletes being disqualified.
9. In relays, qualifiers can change ALL runners to compete in the finals. Relay members must wear
identical delegation uniforms.
10. Secondary boys will run over a 3000 m plain instead of a 3000 m steeplechase., if the barriers are
not available.
11. If only seven lanes are available. The inside lane (Lane 1) should always remain free to observe the
safety of all competitors. It means that only seven athletes will qualify for the final round of track
events.
12. In case of inclement weather during an event that cannot be safely completed, the coaches will be
consulted prior to the postponement or cancellation of the schedule by the technical management
based on the rule of the majority.
13. In the event of unfinished finals due to inclement weather, the ranking will be based on the results of
time trials or semi-finals.
14. No medals for unplayed events
15. An athlete who reports to the call room area will stay there and wait for his turn to enter the field of
play (FOP). If he fails to do so, he is liable for any delay in the game that may result in
disqualification. Please be considerate of the call room time.
16. The awarding of medals will be done based on the schedule (see the schedule of the event). All
awardees must be in their delegation uniform with shoes and their coaches. Please cooperate on
this matter.
17. The starting height of the bar in the high jump and pole vault will be as follows:
HIGH JUMP
ELEM. GIRLS – 1.0M SEC. GIRLS – 1.10M
ELEM. BOYS - 1.15M SEC. BOYS – 1.20M
5 CM BAR HEIGHT INCREMENT AND BY 3 CM UNTIL 3 COMPETITORS LEFT.

POLE VAULT - 2.0M


10CM BAR HEIGHT INCREMENT AND BY 5 CM UNTIL 3 COMPETITORS LEFT.

18. Priority is given to the gold medalist in the selection of players for the CLRAA Meet.
