you're up, move," he says. "And what we've discovered is that once you're up, you do tend to

move (2014, March 26).

Standing As You Work, Health Benefits And Bodywise Effectiveness

These studies found that reducing time spent sitting at work resulted in an improvement in
mental health outcomes such as mood, tension and calmness. The intervention group was
asked “did you get any benefits by alternating between sitting and standing?” They could select
one or more options from the following categories:Stress, Comfort, Productivity, Focus,
Happiness, Energy, Health. Overlooked. Effects on stepping behaviors are likely to be greater
when interventions take a multicomponent approach and include individual (e.g., motivational
interviewing), organizational (e.g.,incentives to participate in physical activity), cultural norms
(e.g., changing from sitting to walking meetings), and environmental (e.g., activity permissive
workstations) strategies Received 4 June 2015 [9, 10].R. Tobin et al.

health problems. However one can incorporate short breaks that include activity or
alternatively change their work paths like taking the stairs, walking to a coffee shop or meeting
