Q3) Explain the offence of rape in the light of Criminal Amendment Act 2013.

a) A is at work with a hatchet; the head flies off and kills a man who is
standing by. Discuss A’s liability.
b) A puts jewels into a box belonging to Z, with the intention that they
may be found in that box, and that this circumstance may cause Z to be
convicted. Discuss A’s liability.
c) A intending or knowing himself to be likely permanently to disfigure
Z’s face, gives Z blow which does not permanently disfigure Z’s face,
but which causes Z to suffer bodily pain for the space of twenty days.
Discuss A’s liability.
d) ‘A’ holds ‘Z’ down and fraudulently takes Z’s money and jwels from
Z’s clothes without Z’s consent. Discuss A’s liability.
e) A voluntarily throws into a river a ring belonging to Z, with the
intention of thereby causing wrongful loss to Z. Discuss A’s liability.
f) A instigates B who is unsound mind to set fire to a dwelling house of
C. B sets fire to the house in consequence of A’s instigation. Discuss
their liability.
