Prescription Drugs are licensed medicines that are regulated by legislation to
require medical prescription before they can be obtained.
Examples and Its Uses
1. Antibiotics- are strong medicines that treat bacterial infections. It won’t
treat viral infection because they can’t kill viruses.(amoxicillin)
2. Antidepressants- may be used for a wide range of psychiatric conditions,
including social anxiety disorder, anxiety disorder, and mild chronic
depression.(valum)
3. Antihypertensives - are a class of drugs that are used to treat
hypertension.
Over-the-counter Drugs are medicines sold directly to a consumer without a
prescription from a physician.

in the body. It neutralizes stomach acidity, relieve heartburn, indigestion
