Assignment Description
Virtual Child: 19 Months Old (1 year, 7 months)
**Ensure you have completed all Virtual Child tasks up to 19 months (1 year, 7 months)
(Please refer to the screenshot to ensure you have completed all tasks to the required age).
If required tasks are incomplete, the assignment will receive a grade of zero (0).

Be sure to read the rubric below to ensure you have met all expectations.
Remember assignments are to evaluate your understanding of course content, therefore, you must
refer to information learned (not personal opinions).

1. Complete all Virtual Child tasks as indicated in the hybrid classroom up to 19 months
of age (1 year, 7 months).
This includes progressing through:
-13 screens of information and/or choices between 1 year and 1 year, 3 months
-1 screen of information and/or choices between 1 year, 3 months and 1 year, 6 months
-15 screens information and/or choices between 1 year, 6 months and 1 year, 7 months (see
screen below)
Please note the red arrows below. The vertical arrow pointing down shows you what age your
child should be.
The horizontal arrow shows you how many screens are in each section and the small white
bars turn blue with each screen completed.
You will proceed to where there are only 2 white bars remaining on the screen below. If you go
past this screen, you will see some reflection questions which are not required to complete for
evaluation but are a good study tool if you wish to do them.
You do not have to provide anything to demonstrate that you met the screen requirements as
the instructor has access to your progression.
Do not progress past this screen.

If required tasks as outlined above are incomplete, the assignment will be receive a grade of zero (0)
regardless of whether the questions below are answered and submitted.

As you continue raising your child, briefly reflect on your own upbringing.

1b. Provide one specific example of a parenting decision your parents/caregivers made that is
reflective of the perspective/theory you chose, including specifically how this example
demonstrates that perspective/theory.
