EXPERIMENT: 1
Aim:- Install VirtualBox/VMware Workstation on different
OS. Procedure:- Step 1:-Download the latest version of VirtualBox from the official website. Go to https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and select the version that matches your operating system.

Step 2:-Once the download is complete, run the VirtualBox installer by double clicking the executable file you just downloaded. The installer will open and display the welcome screen. Click "Next" to proceed. On the next screen, you will be asked to select the installation directory.

Step 3:- The default directory should work for most users, but you can choose a different location if you prefer. You will be asked to select the components you want to install on the following screen. Make sure all components are selected and click "Next" to continue.

Step 4:- The installer will prompt you to select any additional tasks you want to perform. Leave these options unchecked if you don't want to perform any additional tasks, and click "Next" to proceed. Step 5 :- The installer will now show a summary of your selected settings. Review them to ensure they are correct, and click "Install" to begin the installation process.

Step 6:- Once the installation is complete, click "Finish" to exit the installer.

Now virtual box is ready for use.

EXPERMINT:- 2 AIM:- Install different operating systems in virtual box. PROCEDURE:-The installation process for various operating systems can vary depending on the specific OS and the computer hardware being used. however, the installation process of Linux is given here 1. Choose a virtual machine software: There are several options available, such as VirtualBox, VMware, and Hyper-V. Select the software that suits your needs and install it on your computer. 2. Download the Linux distribution: You can download the Linux distribution of your choice from its official website. Ubuntu and Debian are popular options, but you can choose any distribution that you are comfortable with. 3. Create a new virtual machine

Open your virtual machine software and create a new virtual machine by clicking on the 'New' button.

4. Set the virtual machine specifications: Set the amount of RAM and CPU cores you want to allocate to the virtual machine. Also, create a virtual hard drive and set the amount of storage space you want to allocate to it. Memory size. Choose how much memory to allocate to the virtual machine and click Next. The default setting for Linux is 1 GB.

Also, create a virtual hard drive and set the amount of storage space you want to allocate to it. Hard disk file type:- Stick to the default file type for the new virtual hard disk, VDI (Virtual Box Disk Image). Click Next to continue.

5. Install the Linux distribution: Start the virtual machine and insert the Linux distribution ISO file into the virtual CD/DVD drive.

6. Follow the installation prompts to complete the installation process. You
can select the language according to your convenience. And username, a password can also be created.

Once the disk is partitioned, the Linux installation will start.

7. Configure the Linux distribution: After the installation is complete, you will need to configure the Linux distribution. This includes setting up user accounts and network settings, installing additional software packages, etc.

8. Install Virtual Machine Tools: Finally, install the Virtual Machine Tools to improve the performance and functionality of your virtual machine. This includes drivers for graphics, sound, and networking, as well as additional tools for managing your virtual machine.
