Fiqri : So, you have applied for a job as a teacher at this school, right?
Nur Azizah : Yes, sir.. it’s nice to meet you, thank you very much for giving me this
opportunity to join the job interview, Sir
Fiqri : Nice to meet you too, how are you doing today?
Nur Azizah : I am doing well, and yourself?
Fiqri : Great, thanks. I hope we didn’t keep you waiting for long?
Nur Azizah: No, I had the chance to talk to one of your engineers while waiting.
Fiqri : That’s good. Nur Azizah, shall we start?
Nur Azizah : Yeah, sure.
Fiqri : Alright, you can now introduce yourself before we discuss the other aspects from your
resume and job application letter.
Nur Azizah : Okay.. My name is Nur Azizah Puspa Tri Utami. I am from Cikatomas and
currently I Live in Tasikmalaya city. I am 24 years old and I was graduate from Siliwangi
University in Tasikmalaya, majoring in Indonesian Language Education.
Fiqri : What experience do you have?
Nur Azizah : I am a fresh graduate, so my work experience was being a private tutor for some
students starting a year ago. With my qualification, I hope I can be the best candidate to be a
Indonesian teacher at this school.
Fiqri : Could you tell me why you chose to pursue a career as a teacher?
Nur Azizah : My father inspired me to be a teacher. When I was little, I used to go to the
school where my father taught. He was a well-respected teacher, and many students were
happy with him. As well as My father is the first teacher in my life, he has given me so many
valuable lessons. Therefore I want to be a great teacher like my father. And also I just want
to be remembered as someone who helps others to pursue their dream.
Fiqri : What a great teacher your father is!
Nur Azizah : Yes, he is!!
Fiqri : So why are you interested in working at our school?
Nur Azizah : I would like to work at Permata High School because its focus on academics,
character, and community fits perfectly with my own philosophy. In addition, it has a
reputation for excellence in academics and quality of education.
Fiqri : In your opinion, what are the important personalities a teacher should have?
Nur Azizah : For me, patience and self-discipline are two personality traits that a teacher
should have. You see, teaching can be frustrating and students can be difficult sometimes.
Only those who have great patience and self-discipline can handle such situations.
Fiqri : Then what about skills. What important skills do you think a teacher should have?
Nur Azizah : In addition to communication skills, classroom management skills,
organizational skills, the ability to build good and caring relationships with students and
parents are the most important skills a teacher must have.
