JAW CRUSHER
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
In order to ensure the normal operation of the crusher and give full play to its due performance, the user is
required to be familiar with this manual before using the crusher and operate in accordance with the
contents of the manual.
I. Overview
The machine in this manual is used for crushing various ores, rocks and other materials with coarse,
medium and fine crushing strength not greater than 250MP. The varieties and specifications are shown in
Appendix 1. The crusher type is expressed as follows:
Ⅱ.Structural features and working principles
This machine is mainly composed of frame, movable jaw, eccentric shaft, tooth plate, toggle plate and
adjustment device. See Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4. The working principle is that the motor drives the eccentric
through the triangle belt, so that the movable jaw moves according to the adjusted trajectory, thereby
crushing the materials in the crushing cavity.
Main component structure and working principle:
The frame is a one-time molded steel casting. A wedge-shaped side guard is installed on the front wall of
the frame to fix the fixed tooth plate of the crusher and protect both side walls. There is a fixed slideway to
ensure that the adjustment seat is parallel and forward. Slide back and adjust the position of the adjusting
seat to adjust the size of the discharge port.
As shown in Figures 2 and 5, the movable jaw body is a one-time molded steel casting. The front is fixed
with a movable tooth plate fixed by weight iron bolts. The bearing and eccentric shaft dust cover are
installed inside and are suspended on the frame. The lower part passes through the toggle plate. , tie rods
and springs are connected to the frame, so that the toggle plate forms rolling contact with the adjusting seat
and the movable jaw body on the frame.
The toggle plate is made of gray cast iron or cast steel. In addition to serving as an intermediate support,
when foreign matter that cannot be broken enters the crushing cavity and the load of the crusher increases,
the toggle plate will break by itself. Cut off the load and protect other parts from damage.
The adjustment device has two different forms as shown in Figure 6. One is to adjust the bolts on the frame
to move the inclined iron upward or downward, so that the adjustment seat moves forward or backward on
the frame slide to adjust the two toothed plates. gap to achieve the ideal discharge particle size. Another
form is to adjust the size of the discharge port by adjusting the number of backing plates to move the
adjustment seat forward or backward. (Figure 1) The tooth plate is made of high manganese steel and is
divided into a fixed tooth plate and a movable tooth plate. The fixed tooth plate is against the front wall of
the frame, and the movable tooth plate is pressed by a weight, which is fixed to the movable jaw by bolts.
On the machine, the tooth plate is a wearing part and can be turned around.

Ⅳ.Installation and debugging
After users receive the crusher produced by our factory, they should conduct a comprehensive inspection
according to the delivery note to discover possible damage during transportation and ensure the normal use
of the crusher.
Issues that should be paid attention to during machine installation, debugging and trial operation:
Since the machine vibrates greatly when it is working, it is recommended to install the machine on a
concrete foundation. In order to reduce vibration, noise and avoid vibration from affecting the foundation of
the building when the machine is working, it is best to place a hardwood pad between the crusher and the
concrete foundation. , rubber straps or other cushioning materials.
Foundation height, depth and area should be calculated separately based on soil conditions. The installation
dimensions of the machine can be referred to the basic drawing.
The basic discharge trough must ensure that it cannot hinder the movement of the movable jaw, and at the
same time lay a layer of metal plate with a sufficient inclination angle (preferably greater than 45°) to
ensure that the crushed materials are discharged smoothly.
The size of the discharge port should be adjusted according to the product granularity required by the user.
There are two adjustment methods in our factory: one is as shown in Figure 5, using inclined iron; the other
is using backing plate. When using inclined iron, you should first loosen the tensioning spring and adjust
the height of the hanging screw on the frame so that the discharge opening reaches the required size. There
are two types of inclined irons: one piece and two pieces. One is to adjust the two inclined irons to be
parallel, otherwise the tilted iron will be unevenly stressed and will damage the frame. The other method is
to use a backing plate, which should be loosened first when adjusting. Inclined iron or adjusting seat,
hanging screw and tensioning spring, use the adjusting bolt to open the adjusting seat, insert or pull out the
gasket of the corresponding thickness, and then return the adjusting bolt. The adjusting seat bolt must not be
stressed during work. The adjusting seat is on the movable jaw. Under the action of its own weight, press
the gasket group together and stick it to the rear wall of the frame. Then tighten the inclined iron or the
adjustment seat hanging bolt, fix the adjustment seat and adjust the spring preload to ensure that the elbow
is in the right position when the machine is working. The plate and the toggle plate pad are in close contact.
Pay attention to the pre-pressure of the spring and avoid any knocking sounds from the machine parts.
After the machine is installed and adjusted, it will take more than 2 hours to run dry. The stable temperature
of the bearing should not exceed 70°C. All fasteners such as the pressure iron bolts and side guard plate
pressure bolts should be strictly inspected and should not be loose. After the on-load test run, the fasteners
should be inspected again to ensure that the fasteners are firm and reliable. The flywheel runs smoothly, and
all friction parts are free of scratches, chips, grinding, and abnormal noises. The adjustment device of the
discharge port should be able to ensure the range of the adjustment seat of the discharge port.
Ⅴ.Use and operate
Since the crusher works under poor production conditions, the correct operation of the crusher is one of the
main factors to ensure its continuous operation, so the operator should have a good understanding of and
accurately abide by the crusher's operating procedures.
1.Preparation and inspection work before start-up
Check whether there is any ore or debris at the discharge port of the crusher. It must be cleaned before
starting to ensure that the crusher cavity starts.
Check and adjust the tightness of the triangle pulley. If oil is found on the belt or pulley, wipe it off with
clean cotton gauze or cotton cloth. If damage is found, replace it in time.
Tighten all loose solid parts, especially the crusher's fastening bolts and the motor's fastening bolts.
Fill all lubrication positions with new oil according to lubrication requirements. Check whether the bearing
is well lubricated and whether there is enough lithium-based grease at the connection of the toggle plate.
Check whether the protective device is in good condition. If any defect is found, do not start it to avoid
accidents.
Check whether the jacking bolts are retracted, whether the gasket set is pressed tightly, and whether the
T-bolts are tightened.
2.Crusher start-up
After inspection, it is proved that all components and lubrication systems are in good condition before
starting. When starting, the crusher will only start in sequence without any interference. After starting, if
knocking sounds and other abnormal sounds are found, The operation should be stopped immediately, and
the cause of the abnormality should be identified and eliminated before restarting.
3.Crusher operation
After the crusher is in normal operation, it can be put into production.
⑴The motor speed should comply with the nameplate regulations (please refer to the technical
specifications table). Pay attention to the broken feed port, and feed the material to the feed port evenly
without interruption. The charging of the rolling chute should be at least three-quarters of its volume.
⑵Use iron rods or iron hooks to sort out the overhead stones in the rolling chute of the crusher to break
them or remove the stones that exceed the specifications. Never use a hammer to break the overhead stones
or the stones that exceed the specifications.
⑶Pay attention to abide by the prescribed lubrication system, and do not allow the bearing to have heat or
abnormal phenomena. Therefore, you should always check the temperature of the bearing with your hands.
The temperature should not exceed 60°C, that is, there should be no unbearable feeling when contacting
metal.
⑷Before turning off the motor, an order should be given to the staff to stop loading the crusher, and all the
stones in the rolling chute should be discharged before the motor can be stopped.
⑸when the machine is working. If you find abnormal knocking sounds or other faults, please refer to
Catalog 8 (Main faults that may occur when the crusher is in operation and how to eliminate them).
⑹After the work stops, the dirt on the equipment should be removed, the remaining gravel and ballast
should be taken out, the dust should be wiped off, and the equipment should be kept clean.
⑺After the tooth plate is worn for a period, it can be turned around for use.
⑻After the crusher is used for a period of time, the tightening bushing should be re-tightened to prevent the
tightening bushing from loosening and damaging the machine.
Ⅵ、Crusher lubrication
Regular lubrication of the relatively movable parts of the crusher is one of the main conditions to ensure
that it works uninterrupted and reduces parts wear. Therefore, special attention should be paid to observing
the lubrication specifications without any deviation.
For the lubrication position of this machine, please refer to the figure number in the attached drawing, as
shown in the attached table below.

Ⅶ、Crusher maintenance
In order to ensure the normal operation of the jaw crusher, in addition to correct operation, planned
maintenance must be carried out, including daily maintenance inspections, minor repairs, medium repairs
and overhauls.
⑴Minor repairs: The main contents include checking and repairing the adjusting device, adjusting the gap
of the discharge port, and turning around or replacing the worn lining plate. Inspect the transmission part,
lubrication system and replace lubricating oil, etc. The cycle of minor repairs is about 1 to 3 months.
⑵Medium repair: In addition to all minor repairs, it also includes replacement of thrust plates, lining plates,
inspection and repair of bearing bushes, etc. The period of intermediate repair is generally about 1 to 2
years.
⑶Overhaul: In addition to all the work of intermediate maintenance, it also includes replacing or turning
the eccentric shaft, and replacing or repairing various wear parts. The overhaul cycle is generally about 5
years

Ⅸ、Technical security
Operators must follow the following procedures when using this equipment.
⑴When the crusher is working, it is forbidden to remove the guards of the moving and rotating parts, and it
is not allowed to work with the guards and protective barriers removed.
⑵ It is prohibited to stack any objects on the prescribed pathways and workbench to avoid obstruction. It is
prohibited to use crushing equipment when railings, scaffolding and related safety facilities have been
removed or damaged.
⑶ When the crushing equipment is in operation, especially within the scope of the moving and rotating
parts of the equipment, any repair work should be prohibited.
⑷ If a fault is discovered or abnormal sounds or other problems occur, the crushing equipment should be
prohibited from working and should be shut down for inspection and processing.
⑸ It is prohibited to use crushing equipment at night if there is no lighting equipment or the lighting
equipment is defective.
⑹ The starting, working and stopping of the crusher should preferably be indicated by signals, and it is
prohibited to tamper with the various mechanisms of the equipment.
⑺ It is prohibited to trim stones by hand or remove stones from a working crusher by hand. Special tools
must be used when necessary.
