How to Enter Master Key

(PCI 2.0/3.0/5.0 EPP)

1. Introduction
This document explains how to enter key into EPP.
To enter key, EPP should be initialized. If EPP is initialized, please omit this step.

[How to initialize EPP]

*PCI5.0 must first enter a Enter password #1/#2 and then do the following:
* Enter ‘Key manager’  Clear EPP  Clear All key  Enter password #1/#2

1. Put 1 DIP switch to ON, and back to OFF after 5seconds.(PCI5.0 – Not supported)
2. Turn off EP.
3. Turn on EPP after about 10 seconds.

2. How to enter key
2.1 Enter Key Manager
1) Select 'Key Manager'

Please select 'Key Manager' menu and press [Execute] button. Then "Enter Password Screen" will be shown
as below picture.
2) Select 'Enter Password'

Please select 'Enter Password' menu and press [Execute] button. Then "Enter Password Screen" will be shown.

3) Enter Password

Please press [Execute] button and enter 2 passwords. If 1 and 2 passwords are correct, "Key Manager Main Screen"
will be shown as below picture.
If you never changed password, please enter default password.

2.2 Change Password (Do not skip this step)
1) If you used default password to enter "Key Manager", passwords should be changed before entering key.
* If you changed passwords beore, please skip this step.
2) To change password, select 'Change Password' menu and press [Execure] button. Then "Change Password Screen"
will be shwon.

3) Select password number

At first select 'Password #1' menu and press [Execute] button. Then "Enter Password Screen" will be shown.
After changing password #1, please change password #2 same method.

4) Change Password

(1) Please press [Execute] button and enter new password.

(2) Please press [Execute] button and enter new password one more to verify.
* Password 1 and password 2 should be different with each other.

4) Restart "Key Manager"

- After changing password, go back to VDM Main. And reenter into "Key Manager" by using new password.

2.3 Change the state of EPP
* If current state is "Installation State", please skip this step.
If current state is not "Installation State", please exeute this step.
1) To enter key into EPP, you should change the state of EPP.
2) To change the state of EPP, select 'Set pinpad state' menu and press [Execure] button. Then "Enter ID / Password
Screen" will be shwon.

3) Enter ID and password

Please press [Execute] button and enter 2 IDs and passwords. If 1 and 2 IDs and passwords are correct, "Set State

 Main Screen" will be shown as below picture.
If you never added or changed ID and password, please enter default ID and password.
4) Add ID and Password
(1) Please press [Execute] button, then "Add ID / Password Screen" will be shown.

(2) Add ID and Password

Press [Execute] button and enter new ID and password. After entering ID and password, please press [Execute] button
and enter new ID and password one more time to verify.
Please add second ID and password by same above method.

 * ID 1 and ID 2 should be different with each other.

5) Reenter new ID and password

- After adding password, go back to "Key Manager Main". And reenter new ID and password.

Please press [Execute] button and enter 2 IDs and passwords. If 1 and 2 IDs and passwords are correct, "Set State
Main Screen" will be shown as below picture.

6) Change State
(1) Select 'Set State' menu and press [Execute] button.

(2) Check 'Current State' is "Initialization State".

If current state is "Initialization State", press [Execute] button.

After changing state, go back to "Key Manager Main".

2.4 Enter master key into EPP
1) To enter key, select 'Enter Key' menu and press [Execure] button.

2) Select master key type to be entered

Please select master key type to be entered, and press [Execute] button.
 PCI4.0 or PCI5.0 support only Triple DES.

3) Select key name

4) Press [Execute] button

 * PCI 4.0 or PCI 5.0 must enter Enter password#1,#2 and complete Enter key within 1 minute.

5) Enter mater key part 1 and 2 both.

(1) Press '1' on EPP and press [Execute] button.

(2) Enter part 1 master key by using EPP.
(3) After entering part 1, select 'Import' menu and press [Execute] button.
(4) Press '2' on EPP and press [Execute] button.
(5) Enter part 2 master key by using EPP.
(6) After entering part 2, select 'Import' menu and press [Execute] button.
(7) After entering master key, go back to "Key Manager Main"

* If entering key failed, please do again 2-2 and 2-3 steps.

2.5 Check master key
1) To check key, select 'Check Key Status' menu and press [Execure] button.

2.6 Clear EPP(PCI 5.0)

1) PCI 5.0 supports the granular functions of clearing EPP

Button functions:
 [Erase Symmetric Keys] : Removes the injected keys (recommended).

 [Set sensitive password to factory reset] : Changes to Factory reset state.

- Initialized to Enter password (Sensitive Password) 0000000.

 [Erase Host public key] : Removes Host public key.

 [Erase HDD S/N & Mac address in random EPB] : Removes authentication keys of CE.

 [Erase All key] : Removes all no.1,2,3 and 4 above.

 [Set initialization state] : Initializes EPP Installation state.

- ID/PW is initialized to Default : 000000/0000000.

(1) No.1 to 5 should be completed within 1 minute after login via Enter password #1 and #2.

(2) No.6 can be removed within 1 minute after login via Enter ID/PW.
