SAFETY AND HEALTH COMMITTEE (SECTION 30)


The Safety and Health Committee (SHC), which is a requirement under OSHA (40 or more workers),
is established to help workers channeled their safety and health problems or concerns at the
workplace (to discuss and resolve OSH concerns).
Please refer your OSH concerns to the committee members.

SAFETY INSPECTION (REGULATION 12)


Safety inspection must be carried out at the place of work
at least once in 3 months.

• Who should do it: SHC members, SHO, Special Inspecting


Team (e.g: Chemist)
• How: Use checklist specifically prepared for the
inspection purpose.
• Frequency: At least once in three months.
• Report: Must be prepared and submitted to
management.

Purpose:
• To establish the causes of the
accidents.

SCHEDULED WASTE MANAGEMENT


Employer shall ensure that scheduled wastes that are subjected to
movement or transfer be packaged, labelled and transported in
accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Director General.
E.g: Kualiti Alam for treatment and disposal.
