Required parts RJ45 coupler, needed only if the charger uses a fixed LAN. 1
Otherwise, there will be one available in the cabinet.

Purpose of the instruction and short description:


Temporarily disabling (bypassing) a defective power module scheduled for replacement.

Specific risks and attention points:


Capacitors of a defective power module can hold an electric charge, even if the charger is switched off.
When sliding in and out the power boards into their bay, pay attention to the wires and connectors, not to damage the PCB.

Procedure:
Safety:
1) Before performing any work on the charger, follow the procedure SI-T53-0000 Safety instructions.

Procedure
2) Identify the defective power module. Power module 1 is the top one.
3) Bypass the CAN cables (red RJ45), disconnecting them from the defective
power module and connect the previous power module directly with the
following one. As the cables are short, use the coupler (1) located on the
bottom of the right door. If the defective power module is the
bottommost one, simply disconnect the CAN cable. 1
4) Disconnect the fan power supply connector (2).
5) Disconnect the AC in (3) and DC out (4) connectors.
6) Switch off the corresponding rotary circuit breaker located in the right
side of the charger on the top part.

The left circuit breaker protects power module 1.
7) Check if the unplugged cables are well-positioned, close the right door,
switch on the power using the main switch and close the front door. 3
Configuration
8) On Helios > EV Charger page > Settings tab > Click on:
- Notify hardware change on next restart [send action], confirm. Then click on:

- Restart application [send action] and confirm.
9) Allow the charger 10 minutes to reconfigure the boards.
It might display error messages in the meantime.
10) Check if the configuration has been successful on Helios > EV Charger page > Summary tab > [Show service page].
You should only see the power modules which are still connected.
