Abstract. Congratulations and welcome to the Camera-Ready Paper Submission
(Stage 3), the final version of text, tables, and figures of your conference paper. The
SIGraDi 2023 template contains the instructions and styles for each section. Therefore,
we ask that you use Microsoft Word and do not write your proposal using cloud text
editors so that the styles are not altered. For starters, select a paragraph from your
original document, copy (CTRL+C) and use paste but keeping only text in the
corresponding section. All abstracts are one paragraph in English and should appear
with Arial font 9 normal. The abstract should normally contain 150 words maximum
length. The spacing before the abstract is 30 points, while after is 18 points.
Keywords: Five keywords in English, the first letter capitalized, Arial font 9 normal,
and separated by commas: Keyword1, Keyword2, Keyword3, Keyword4, Keyword5.
The first keyword is one of the subtopics of the conference. For example: BIM
Adoption or Gender Equality or Shape Grammars. The spacing before the keywords is
30 points, while and after is 18 points.
1 Introduction
This is a ready-to-publish template that will only be reviewed by an editorial
team and not by a scientific committee, therefore we ask that you review all
the guidelines for submitting your conference paper. The deadline for all final
camera-ready papers, is the 8h of October 2023. Deadlines refer to 23:59
GMT -3.
1.1 New information and Submission
To stay updated for any changes, dates, or new information about the
Camera-Ready Submission, go to this link:
https://www.sigradi.org/sigradi2023/camera-ready-submission/
To start the submission process, go to the OpenConf Upload File section:
https://submission2023.sigradi.org/author/upload.php
Submissions should include a single*.zip file containing source files
(*.docx, *.pdf). The files should be named according to their ID number (i.e.,
100.docx, 100.pdf, 100.zip).

1.2 Update your profile and paper metadata in OpenConf
This Camera-Ready paper is only for the proceedings book, but critical
information is not updated in OpenConf, therefore it is imperative that you
update paper metadata in your profile.
Figure 2. OpenConf Edit Submission Section. Source:
http://submission2023.sigradi.org/author/edit.php
The latest version of your conference paper abstract must be identical to
the text of the abstract of your submission form in OpenConf, because from
OpenConf we will obtain the information for the Conference Program,
CumInCAD database, Blucher Proceedings, and the Book of Abstracts of the
conference.
If you added new authors, changed your affiliation, email, city, or country,
you must update your information in OpenConf.
To update your profile in the OpenConf, please go to the Edit Submission
section (http://submission2023.sigradi.org/author/edit.php) and update the
corresponding spaces.
1.3 Register to the conference
To include your conference paper in the conference proceedings and
schedule your online presentation in the conference program, at least one of
the authors must register for SIGraDi 2023. For details check the registration
link https://www.sigradi.org/sigradi2023/registration/
1.4 Online Presentation Guidelines
For each conference paper, authors must submit one video (a 10 to 15-
minute video full presentation).
2 Formatting your paper
The extension of the papers is either 10 or 12 pages, not 11 or 13 pages.
Your paper cannot have more than 12 pages (there included all text, all
figures, tables, abstract, keywords, and references). Exceeding the page limit
may cause your paper to be rejected.
About the capitalization of the title/headings, author(s) or institution(s)
names in English, write only in capital letters the first letter of all words except
the conjunctions, articles and prepositions of three letters or less. For the case
of Spanish and Portuguese, the first letter of the title/headings, the initial of the
names of the institutions and of the institutions are capitalized.
2.1 Page Title Section
The paper title is written in Arial 14 bold, as is the subtitle (if applicable)
that would follow the colon (":"). The spacing before the title is zero, while after
the title (or subtitle) is 60 pt.
2.2 Author(s), Institution(s), City and Country
None of these items should be written in capital letters. For this section,
only the first letter is capitalized, and the rest are lower case letters: Correct /
INCORRECT
The spacing before the authors' names is zero, while the spacing after is
18 points. The spacing before and after the emails of the institutions and the
authors is zero.
3 Headings
3.1 Main Sections and Sub Sections
All headings should be in Arial Bold and capitalized except articles,
prepositions, and conjunctions. Heading, apart from the title of the paper
(centered), must be aligned to the left. Only the first two levels of the section
headings should be numbered.
Use Arial font 12 bold for main sections such as Introduction,
Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.
Use Arial font 10 bold for subsections. Arial font 10 normal for the main
body text. Arial font 9 normal for the references. The first paragraph and
following paragraphs of every section has an indentation of 0.2’’ (0,5 cm).
3.2 Page numbering
Please do not paginate your conference paper. The editorial team will
insert this information when the article is included in the proceedings book.
4 Visual elements, figures, and other graphics
4.1 Figures and Tables
Images must be inserted in the document. The *.pdf and *.docx will be the
source files for the publication and must include 600 dpi images resolution. All
illustrations must be clear and legible. Grids and details within the figures
must be clearly legible and may not be written one on top of the other. Line
drawings resolution should be at least 800 dpi (preferably 1200 dpi).
Figures should not use font sizes smaller than 6 pt. Otherwise, they will be
illegible. For insertion of high quality images in the document, please review
the following link.
Figure 3. Figure captions should always be positioned below the figures. Captions,
covering more than one line, such as this one, are centered. Source: Author, Year.
Figure 4. Short figure captions are centered. Source: www.sigradi.org
Figures are numbered, and the captions are under the figures. In contrast,
the caption belonging to a table should always appear above the table.
Captions are set in Arial 9. If they are short, they are centered between the
margins. Longer captions, covering more than one line, are justified (Fig. 1,
Fig. 2, Table 1, and Table 2 show examples). Always place the figure or
tables at either the top or the bottom of the page.
If possible, position illustrations at the top of columns, rather than in the
middle or at the bottom. Figure captions must be placed on the bottom, not
top, of the figure. Table captions must be located on the top of the table.
Table 1. Table captions should always be positioned above the tables. Captions,
covering more than one line, such as this one, are justified.

with an extra line or half line space above and below. Displayed expressions
should be numbered for reference. The numbers should be consecutive with
numbers enclosed in parentheses and set on the right margin. Please do not
include section counters in the numbering.

5 Publishing Policies
5.1 Plagiarism
The publication should contain original research that has neither been
published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. It is the authors'
responsibility that neither plagiarism nor self-plagiarism has taken place.
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already
been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the
copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format before their paper.
Otherwise, the figures or tables must be adapted from the original source.
If the conference paper is the continuation of previous work, at least 30%
of the content must be original, and the remaining 70% must be entirely
rewritten to avoid self-plagiarism.
Acknowledgements. This should not be a section or subsection heading
and not be assigned a number. The acknowledgements may include
reference to grants, institutions, or collaborators. All contributors who do not
meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in this section
6 Reference Style
6.1 Quotes
Quotes must be in italics. This is an important statement that needs to be
quoted literally. (Author Surname, Year) If a quote has more than three lines,
it must be detached from the main text:
This is another important statement that includes the general statement
and a list of arguments as well such as: The first long point that occupies one
line, the second long point that occupies a complete second line, a third long
point that completes the fourth line. (Author Surname, Year, page number)
6.2 Citations and References
For citations in the text, use APA 7th edition (2020) style. For example:
(Author Surname, Year), Author Surname (Year), or (Author Surname1, Year;
Author Surname 2, Year).
Please base your references on the examples given in the References
section and make sure that all your sources are correctly listed in the
reference section. Do not include references that are not cited in your paper.
References
The list of references only includes those cited in the document. Authors
will be entered in strict alphabetical order. For references use APA 7th edition
(2020) style.
