Installing a new CLSS Fixed Gateway & Adding LCH Feature (Mobile App)
Introduction
This section of the module walks you through step by step on how to install a Fixed CLSS
Gateway, setting the static IP address of the CLSS Gateway & Activate the LAN Connected Horizon One
Time Activation Feature & LAN Connected Horizon Panel Subscription, using the Connected Life Safety
Services mobile app
Installing Fixed Gateway
The process of installing a fixed gateway and activating LCH
begins by opening the Quick Wizard in the CLSS Mobile app.
The wizard is opened by tapping on the Three dots in the top right-
hand corner.
Tap on Install Fixed Gateway to begin the installation.
*When installing a new fixed CLSS gateway; CLSS gateway will
automatically fetch panel inventory

Add Feature to Existing Fixed CLSS Gateways (Mobile App)
Performing Feature Activation
• The process of activating LAN Connected Horizon for existing
CLSS Gateways begins by opening the Quick Wizard in the
CLSS Mobile app.
• The wizard is opened by tapping on the three dots in the top
right-hand corner.
• Tap on Perform Feature Activation to begin the installation.
*Must be located near the CLSS Gateway.

How to Update the CLSS Gateway Certificate
manufactured before May 2021
Introduction to Updating CLSS Gateway Certificate
This step is required if the CLSS Gateway was manufactured before May 2021 to install the
latest CLS Gateway security certificate, this is not required for gateways purchased after May 2021.

CLSS – Inventory Sync
Updating Inventory Using Existing Fixed CLSS Gateway (Site Manager)
Introduction
Before activating the CLSS LAN Connected Horizon (LCH) to an existing CLSS gateway, it’s best
practice to make sure the most recent panel inventory is uploaded to CLSS Site Manager. This can be
achieved 2 different ways shown below, this section of the module walks you through how to sync the
panel inventory using a CLSS Gateway (where supported)
• Perform an inventory sync were supported from CLSS Site Manager to ensure any newly added or
removed devices have been updated in the gateway’s inventory.
• Upload Panel data base file to CLSS Site Manager (refer to training module Site Manager -
Uploading Device Inventory)
• Select the Site where the CLSS gateway is installed from the Customer, Site, Building List
• Select the Customer.
• Select the Site.
• Click Apply.
• From the dashboard tab click Sync Site.
Sync Site
• click Sync Now
Sync Site
• Check the box next to the desired
Node or Nodes to sync.
• Click Sync.
• A dialogue box will be displayed confirming the sync has been initiated.
• Click Okay, Got It.
Sync Site Completed
• When SYNC is completed,
a message will be
displayed along the bottom
of the screen:
• View Summary of the
inventory sync.
• Dismiss to dismiss the
message.
View SYNC Summary
• Newly added devices will
be listed under Devices
Added.
• Any devices that have
been removed from the
system will be marked as
Decommissioned.
• Status Updated devices
shows the total number
of currently connected
devices including those
which have updated
device labels.

• Select the Customer.
• Select the Site.
• Click Apply.
• Select the Device List
• Select the Export
• Click Inventory for Horizon Software
• .json file will get generated example: SiteName.json

Generating LCH Certificate (Workstation)
Start CLSS Horizon Certificate Manager
• Launch Certificate Manger from Start
Programs.
Step 1) Generate a certificate request
from the certificate manager on the
workstation
• Click Copy
• This will copy the PC’s workstation ID
to your clipboard to be used in Step 2
• Click Generate Certificate Request
• Save certificate to your local PC
• Click OK
Step 2) Upload the certificate request on
site manager by clicking on Generate

• Log into CLSS Site Manager

• Click on Feature Activation
• Select the Site where the CLSS gateway is installed from the Customer, Site, Building List
• Select the Customer.
• Select the Site.
• Click Apply.
• Select Workstations
• Click Add Workstation
• Click Adding LAN-Connected Horizon
for Certificate Generation
• Paste the workstation ID you copied
from the Certificate Manager
• Click Next
• Select Brand the workstation is
connecting to.
• Select the Building the
workstation is installed
• Click on Select CSR File
• Browse to the csr file you
downloaded from the CLSS
Horizon Certificate Manager
• After file is uploaded and
Validated Successfully Click
Generate Certificate
• Certificate will be
automatically downloaded
and saved to your PC
