The following Tests shall be performed at Site after Installation:

1. Check that all connections are in accordance with the connecting diagram and sufficient
electrical clearance is provided for all live conductors.

2. General inspection of dielectric leakage’s

3. Check the tightness of all electrical connections (max. Torque = 2 mkg)

4. Insulation resistance measurement (phase-phase and phase-ground)

5. Compare the actual arrangement with the balancing diagram supplied with the bank and
check that each capacitor unit is correctly positioned

6. Measure the capacitance of each capacitor unit and compare with the factory test results

7. Measure the capacitance of each group

8. Disconnect the primary of CT and inject a current to verify that the alarm and trip relays shall
trip at the correct values

9. Unbalance CT ratio and insulation check

10. Unbalance relay test

11. Overcurrent relay test

12. Harmonic current protection test

13. Reactive power regulator test

14. Inrush current analysis

15. On load current and voltage analysis

16. Unbalance current measurement

The following tests shall be performed at site after energising:

1. Check the actual voltage

2. Check the actual current

3. The actual voltage and current and the frequency and calculated power must be within the
guaranteed values

4. Check that the ambient temperature is within the guaranteed temperature

5. Measure the current between the neutral points at the secondary site of the CT:
