SHERIFF’S OFFICE STATES UNEQUIVOCALLY THAT CLAIMS ABOUT A BODY PART
BEING FOUND AT HOMICIDE SUSPECT’S NOW FORMER HOME ARE FALSE
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is aware of a claim in a civil lawsuit filed by a murdered
Milwaukee woman’s family and being reported by area news outlets that one of the victim’s fingers was discovered at the
suspect’s home during the investigation, after the home was sold.
While MCSO empathizes with loved ones of the victim, Sade Robinson, 19, whom MCSO investigators believe was
killed on or about April 2 by 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson, we must dispute the above claim. At no point during this
ongoing investigation into Robinson’s death has a finger or any other body part been discovered by MCSO, the
Milwaukee Police Department or any other involved law enforcement agency at Anderson’s home or on his property. Nor
have any reports been filed by any private citizen with MCSO or any other involved law enforcement agency about a
non-law enforcement discovery of a finger or any other body part on Anderson’s property. Further, no claims have been
made by private citizens to MCSO or other involved law enforcement agencies that a finger had been discovered at
Anderson’s home and that a private citizen was in possession of such a body part. Finally, no such body part –allegedly
discovered at Anderson’s home– has been reported or turned over to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office,
as would be standard operating procedure were such a discovery made.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Ms. Robinson’s family. And, again, the investigation into her death is
ongoing.
