MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST (MAT) - MAY 2024 PAPER BASED TEST (PBT)

RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

1. This admit card is valid only for the test date and time as specified on Page 1. Any request for change of test date or test

centre will not be entertained.

2. You must reach the test Centre preferably before the Reporting Time indicated on Page 1 and, in any case, well before the

Test Centre Gate Closing Time. Once the test centre gate is closed, you will not be permitted entry under any

circumstances.

3. You must bring any valid original Photo ID proof such as (i) Voter ID Card (ii) PAN Card, (iii) Driving License, (iv) Aadhaar

Card, (v) Passport, (vi) Photo ID card issued by any Govt. Dept., (vii) Photo ID card issued by any recognized educational

institution, etc. to the test centre for verification. Otherwise you will not be permitted for the test.

4. You must bring Ball Point Pen (black/blue) for taking the test.

5. The items listed below are strictly NOT allowed inside the test centre:

• Mobile Phone, digital/smart watch, Bag, Handbag, Papers, notes, books, calculator, electronic gadgets/ equipments,

correction marker/white fluid, any other suspicious item/material, etc.

• It is clarified that there shall be no arrangements at Test Centres for keeping the aforesaid items. If any item is lost, the

Centre or AIMA will not be responsible. Candidates are, therefore, advised either not to carry the aforementioned items with

them on the date of the test or to make their own arrangements for keeping such items in safe custody outside the Test

Centre at their sole risk.

• Any candidate found using or in possession of such unauthorized material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair

means is liable to be summarily disqualified.

6. DO NOT carry the Question Booklet or any part thereof outside the test room/hall. Doing so is a punishable offence.

7. Possessing any electronic device such as mobile phone/ digital/smart watch or any electronic equipment by the candidate

inside the test centre campus before completion of the test will be considered as attempting to take or send the Question

Booklet in full or in part outside the test room. Appropriate civil and/or criminal proceedings will be initiated against any

candidate taking or attempting to take or send the Question Booklet in full or in part outside the test room besides

cancellation of his/her candidature.

8. There are NO Scheduled Breaks during the exam. However, candidates can take unscheduled bio-breaks during the

exam limited to one candidate at a time from any test room; Candidates will need to submit their original ID, OMR Answer

Sheet, Question Booklet with the room invigilator and sign the break log-sheet. Any candidate found talking to others or

using any unfair means would lead to disciplinary action/termination/ cancellation of the candidature.

9. The question paper will have 150 Objective Type Questions. Duration of the Paper will be 120 minutes. There will be 25%

negative marking for wrong and/or incorrectly marked answers.

10. After the test is over, the Used Question Booklet and used OMR answer sheet should be handed over to the invigilator.

11. You will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner one candidate at a time. Please wait for instructions from invigilator

and do not get up from your seat until advised.

12. You should not leave the test room before the end of test and till the counting and tallying of Question Booklets and OMR

Answer sheets is completed by the Room Invigilator.

13. Candidates belonging to "Persons with Disability" category and have mentioned in the application form that their disability

is such that it causes limitation in writing and have opted for scribe, would be granted the use/facility of scribe and

compensatory time of 40 minutes (@ 20 minutes per hour of test) subject to their producing a proper Certificate from the

competent authority.
14. Any attempt to influence the test or malpractice will lead to disqualification of your candidature.

15. Discrepancies, if any, regarding your particulars in this admit card can be e-mailed to [email protected] at least 1 day prior to

the Paper Based Test (PBT).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING IN THE OMR ANSWER SHEET

OMR Answer sheets are scanned by machine to compute the scores. Accuracy in scoring is dependent on the candidates marking

their answer on OMR Answer sheets properly. Therefore, candidate should strictly adhere to the following instructions:

a. Every question has four answer options. Mark the answer option number chosen by darkening the corresponding oval on

the OMR Answer sheet Using Ball Point Pen (Blue/Black) Only.

b. Answer once marked cannot be erased. Darken only one oval. Darkening of more than one oval or improper darkening will

be treated as wrong answer leading to scoring of negative marks for which the candidate would be solely responsible. No

communication in this regard shall be entertained.

c. The correct method of darkening the oval has been indicated in "Important Instructions" on Side-1 of the OMR Answer Sheet

and that must be strictly followed.

d. Do not tear, bend or mutilate the OMR Answer Sheet.
