Introduction
The think about of Geography has been found by Greeks. They are the primary known culture
to effectively find Geography as a science and logic. Whereas maps had been made centuries
prior in Sumer, the Greeks were the primary to endeavour to completely and efficiently depict
the world. By the 8th century the Greeks had impressive information of the Geography of the
eastern Mediterranean appeared by they work. By the 18th century, geology had ended up

in Europe (especially Paris and Berlin), in spite of the fact that not the within the Joined

Problem statement

strong identity. While general questions regarding the definition of historical geography
have not escaped notice, its position has not yet been sufficiently defined.The definition of
history of geography has been a very big challenge in the world, many scientists have tried to
bring out about the definition, and however, this problem prevailed for a very long period. So
what is, or what should be, the object and subject of historical geographical.

Aim
The aim of this study is to understand the progress of sciences, especially geography, during the
ancient classical period.

Objectives of the research


 To understand the history of geography;
 To find out the development of the history of geography;
 To analyse the impact of study of geography.

Research question
 What is the history of geography
 What is the importance of studying geography
 What is the impact of the study of geography

Hypothesis
 In the History of Geography many aspect related to the world are studied
 The study of Geography has crucial importance in its study, because it allows human
being to know the world.
 The study of Geography helps to understand our environment.
Literature Review
This current chapter deals with different works that underpin this study. In this perspective,
various research works related to the matter of this study were explored to provide the concepts
on which this study is situated. To better appreciate the study, some key terms used in the study
are defined below.

Definition of History
According to Marwick & University,( 2007) history is the The bodies of knowledge about the
past produced by historians, together with everything that is involved in the production,
communication of, and teaching about that knowledge.

Justifications for History


It is history specialists who give the relevant information that in the long run works its way into
the direct books, and once more the require is for exactness not presumptive hypothesis. Students
of history moreover give the relevant information for awesome works of craftsmanship and
writing, hence upgrading our delight of these. In expansion, the ponder of history offers to
people major utilitarian learning results. Preparing in history is preparing in examining,
assessing, and deciphering both auxiliary and essential sources. It creates an understanding that
everything composed relating to history, auxiliary or essential, must be drawn closer with
distrust and caution. What is fundamental in history is obvious and viable communication, well
organized, and composed in exact and express dialect.

Important of Geography in Education


The geography is very important in education because it makes a difference understudies get it
complex intelligent between Earth's physical and human frameworks, whether they are at the
neighbourhood or the worldwide level. Well adjusted geographic instruction empowers
understudy to procure the abilities essential to posture and explore spatial as well as natural
questions. Geology makes a difference understudies center on the designs and forms that
interface them to the world by educating them to posture and reply geographic questions.
