ABSTRACT
Introduction
The proposed project will be installation of a kitchen sink to be used in dining hall.

Human nowadays are pursuing for an advanced kitchen sink with multiple functions and
economic to the user. This work is a project involving installation of kitchen sink or faucet
with multiple functions compiled with economic features. The patents discussed on the stand
alone sink, portable basin that can be packed, use a flexible braided metal hose, sens or
operated faucet fold able kitchen sink and other design features which is crucial to the user.
As part of an initiative to predict user needs in the future

CHAPTER 1
1.0 Introduction
This chapter reviews the history of plumbing, its importance and needs of plumbing. It also
reviews importance of kitchen sinks varieties and why it is to be installed. This chapter also
shows the pictorial drawing of the project.
The project involves installation of kitchen sink; it will be big enough to not only be used for
hand washing but also for washing utensils and for general food preparation in the school
kitchen.
The importance of installing this sink is:-
1. It helps direct all the used and waste water to the drain pipe
2. It promotes cleanliness of the utensils washed
3. It helps minimize wastage of water.
The size of the sink in the project is 450mm-1200mm long, 380mm-600mm wide and
200mm–300mm deep.

2.0 Literature review
This chapter will explain more on materials and their costs to be used in the project, tools,
and the labor cost for the project. It explains the tools used in the project the materials and
the tools used. This chapter also reviews the costing and funding of the project, the labour
cost and the material cost is also talked about.

CHAPTER 3
3.0 Methodology
This chapter talks about the work plan and organization this helps plan the working days and
what is to be done in each day.
The step by step installation involved measuring and marking the layout, hacking the supply
channel an& the drain pipe channel, fixing the supply pipes and the waste pipes, fixing the
sink in and already build worktop, setting its level, fixing the bottle trap for waste installing the
bib tap.

The work programmed will enable me to control and plan the work to be done and make the
work run smoothly

4.0 DATA ANALYSIS
The final chapter talks about the findings, conclusion and recommendations about the project

The findings during the project, I realized that a lot of skills are needed to install the sink and
many people like it.
Conclusion, I hereby conclude that many people should get themselves involved in using the
sink in their homes
Recommendation, I recommend the sink in to be installed in every household

Plumbing is as stem that conveys fluids for wider range of application

Plumbing originate during the civilization as they developed public baths and needed to
provide portable waste removal for large numbers of people.
The aim of plumbing system is to move liquid and human waste. The benefits are as water
supply and proper sanitation which also come with a risk of contamination, cross connection
scalding and thermal shocks.

1. It enhances use of the most important resources which is water hence maintaining
health and hygiene by using clean water which is not available to everyone.

3. Ability of plumbing and sanitation to deliver clean water to remove waste has
promoted the population from communicable diseases like cholera.
4. Enhances good farming by helping to convey water from the sources to the
farms for irrigation easily

closets, showers.

Here, I am going to use stainless steel kitchen sink since its cheap, easy to install, does not rust,
easy to maintain and its durable.

4.4 ANALYSIS
This chapter contains a summary of major findings, conclusions and recommendations of the
project.
4.5 FINDINGS
During my research I came out with different types of materials for kitchen sink example
being stainless steel, I found out that many people like it and are using it.
4.6 CONCLUSION
As long as much of the work was accomplished in the project, there was limited time to fully
explore on more types of the sinks
4.7 RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that a work to be built before installing the kitchen sink and the customer or the
owner should always arrange for regular maintenance. I too recommend the sink
