1 General
As already announced in Service Bulletin I-EC-2304_Paltronic 180, PALFINGER is issuing this Service Bulletin
to inform about a new edition and extension of the crimping tool set for Paltronic 180.
PALFINGER recommends using only these approved crimping inserts, including the associated pinning tools, for
repairs on Paltronic systems.

This concept as a set is considerably cheaper than purchasing individual original crimping tools of the
respective manufacturers.

3 Description
The crimping plier set contains nine different inserts with which most of the contacts used by PALFINGER can be
crimped with just one pair of pliers. If required, these dies can be changed quickly and easily using screw
connections.
The set also includes the necessary pinning tool for the contact/plug combinations used.
To simplify the handling of the pliers and the pinning tool, short explanatory videos can now be called up for all
the tools included in the set using QR codes.

To complement this set, PALFINGER additionally offers a service case with an assortment of crimp contacts. This
contains 50 of each of 35 different contacts. The set also contains the blind pins required for various connectors.

Each case contains a colour-coded overview of which crimp contact is to be processed with which crimp insert,
as well as the appropriate pinning tool for the respective connector. It is possible to add the EKD 091 and EKD
096 extension kits for all customers, who are already using the existing EKD 080 and EKD 081 set to cover the
requirements of the new systems.
