Theme: A Call to Prayer.
Scripture: 2nd Chronicles 7: 14, “if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil
they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land
prosperous again” (GNT). “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and
pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and heal their land” (ESV).
Prayer Items.
Repentance: confession-Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from
all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9
For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if
you return to him. 2 Chronicles 30:9b
Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the

Jeremiah 29:11-15

me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your
heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and
gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the
Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
Family: relationships, children, peace, joy, love, forgiveness, fruitfulness, reconciliation,
unity, prosperity, and restoration.
Psalms 127, “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD
watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. 2 In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. 3 Children are a heritage from
the LORD, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children
born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to
shame when they contend with their opponents in court”.

eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. 3 Your wife will be like a
fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4
Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. 5 May the Lord bless you from
Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 May you live to see
your children’s children— peace be on Israel”.
Church: growth (knowledge of God, spiritually, financially, numerically), new converts,
new members, members of the church, church leadership, church projects
(Tlhahlaganya, infrastructure), Church Auxiliaries: NYI, NMI, NDI, Stewards, and
Trustees. Church unity and spiritual gifts and District.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving
up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all
the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have
the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to
all the others. Romans 12:4-5
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. 1 Corinthians
3Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their
homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of
all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your
midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s
people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. Ephesians 2:19-20
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with
gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:16
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred,
and you together are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:17
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was
strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in
numbers. Acts 9:31
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body
of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:15
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles
in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together

National elections: peace, fair elections and leadership.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 - I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live
peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
Romans 13:1 - Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority
except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by
God.
Jeremiah 29:7 - Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you
into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.
Job 12:23-25 - He makes nations great, and destroys them; he enlarges nations, and disperses
them.
Unemployment: job seekers, job opportunities, promotions, strength, and courage.
Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Matthew 6:28, “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin”.
Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love
him, who have been called according to his purpose”.
Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes
to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”.

Spiritual warfare: praying against ancestral worship & rituals, breaking of generational
curses, attacks of the enemy, nightmares, evil torments, strongholds, and evil altars.
Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full
armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against
the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be
able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then,
with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in
place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s
people.”

14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he
acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in
trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him
my salvation. Ps 14-15.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of
the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1:13-14
