MODIFICATION TO ASSURE PRELOAD OF GOVERNOR SPRING
2. Accomplishment Instructions
During overhaul of the unit (Ref. Overhaul Manual with Illustrated
Parts List 73-20-28), install washer(s) as follows:
A. Hook governor spring P/N 2521724 into governor cam lever P/N
2522114 eye and adjustment screw P/N 2520487 (Ref. Fig. 1 of this
Service Bulletin).
B. Position adjustment screw through governor lever assembly P/N
2523613.
C. Install a maximum of two washers P/N I18172 and secure using nut
P/N 908120KI as detailed on Figure i.
D. Tighten nut until at least 1-1/2 threads of adjustment screw are
showing.
E. On completion of ASSEMBLY, test and calibrate the Main Fuel
Control Unit in accordance with TESTING instructions specified
for units P/N 2524245-3 (Ref. Overhaul Manual with Illustrated
Parts List 73-20-28).
