Commercial description of the product:
Black bean, This bean is completely black, whether opaque or shiny, hence the name by which it is
known. Its rind is very hard and its first layer or shell is very thick. Both the black bean and the
Purple beans are legumes rich in anthocyanins, compounds that provide pigmentation to their testa
(shell).

It is packed directly from the field, so it may contain small stones, pieces of branches and leaves.
Product technical description:

Vegetative period 90 to 100 days, sowing date all year round, although it is concentrated between
May and September.
Land requirements. Free of salts and through fertile and deep, it must have a warm to temperate
climate
Water requirement of 3600 to 4500 m3 per ha.
Weight of 100 seeds between 21 to 23 gr.
An average yield of 2.0 MT per ha, although it has a potential of 3.2 MT per ha, with a profitability
between 30 to 100%.
Requires 18-20% humidity.
Technical specifications for marketing:
4mm, 5mm and 5.5mm caliber. Normally 4 mm (460/480 grains or seeds in 100 g of product) 13%
humidity, fecal coliforms <1000 CFU per gram, e-coli per gram not detectable and salmonella x
25gr not detectable

Benefits: The consumption of beans as a source of fiber produces greater satiety, due to several
causes: greater volume of food, longer ingestion time, which produces a greater sensation of
intestinal fullness, elevated levels of cholecystokinin, related to reductions in plasma glucose and
insulin levels in diabetic patients. They stand out in their effect and the strengthening of the vessel,
it promotes intestinal cleansing, preventing ulcers, it helps cardiovascular health and it is an
antioxidant.
