UOPEOPLE LEARNING PATHWAYS

1 LEARNING PATHWAYS

Learning pathways at UoPeople offer a curated, pre-planned academic journey, from foundation
studies to your last course. By outlining your required courses and the order in which they need
to be taken, we can ensure lower-level concepts are mastered before students move on to more
advanced courses.

Each student’s pathway is customized based on the courses they’ve already taken and the
degree requirements at the time of enrollment. For this reason, your path may differ from
another student’s.

When the registration period opens, a list of recommended courses will be made available on
the ‘Registration’ page based on your learning pathway. You will only be able to select courses
from this list and only in their predetermined order. The order must also be maintained if you are
cancelling or dropping from courses.

This list is created based on:

• Your learning pathway
• Your maximum course load (check our catalog for undergraduate
and graduate course load policies)
• Course availability.

If you’re new to registration or just need a refresher, we’re here to walk you through the
process. Follow the simple instructions in our ‘How to Plan Your Next Term’ manual or watch
this video. If you have any proctored courses, be sure to read our ‘How to Assign a Proctor’
manual as well or watch this video.

In the following sections, you’ll find a detailed outline of each of our degree program’s learning
pathways as well as the general education courses that fulfill the pathways’ requirements.
