Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
This monitor is suitable for the adult, the pediatric and the neonate, may monitor the
life parameters, such as the electrocardiograph (ECG), the noninvasive blood pressure
(NBP), the oxygen saturation (SpO₂), the respiration rate (Resp), the body temperature
(Temp) , the invasive blood pressure (IBP), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and so on,, can in the
same screen demonstrate maximum 11 waveforms and all information of the parameters
monitored.
The purpose and function of the patient monitor is to monitor: ECG; heartrate;
noninvasive blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, and mean arterialpressures); functional
arterial oxygen saturation; respiration rate and temperature for adult and pediatric patients
in all hospital areas and hospital-type facilities. It can be used during hospital transport and
in mobile, land-based environments, such as ambulances.
Below shows the functions of this monitor:
1) The electrocardiograph (ECG), including: the heart rate, 6 channels ECG
waveforms, the ST segment analysis (can be partially optional and purchased), the
arrhythmia analysis (can be partially optional and purchased);
2) The oxygen saturation (SpO₂), including: the oxygen saturation , pulse rate, pulse
wave;
3) The noninvasive blood pressure (NBP), including: Systolic pressure, diastolic
pressure, mean pressure;
4) The body temperature (Temp): 2 channels body temperature data;
5) The respiration (Resp): Breathing rate, breath waveform.
6) invasive blood pressure (IBP): 2 channels IBP waves and Systolic pressure, diastolic
pressure, mean pressure;
7) carbon dioxide (CO₂): 1 channel CO₂wave and Breath rate, EtCO₂and FiCO₂.

“COMM. STOP ERR” Ensure that the MAIN-PARA cable is properly connected to the
MAIN board and FY00801 board. If problem persists, replace
PARA board.
Key or encoder do not Replace keyboard cable or keyboard. If problem persists, replace
work MAIN board.
No sound Replace speaker cable or speaker. If problem persists, replace
MAIN board.
Recorder do not work Ensure that recorder’s power led is on. Ensure the recorder cable
is properly connected to MAIN board. If problem persists,
replace recorder or MAIN board.
ECG no signal Check ECG cable,If problem persists, replace PARA board.
NIBP can’t inflate Ensure there is pump inflation sound when NIBP start, if no
pressure up sound, replace pump cable or pump. If pump is ok, check if there
is leakage in valve, replace valve cable or valve when there is
leakage, If problem persists, replace recorder or PARA board.
SPO2 no signal Ensure SPO2 cable is ok, If problem persists after changing
SpO2 cable, replace PARA board.
Respiration no signal Check ECG cable,If problem persists, replace recorder or PARA
board.
Temperature no signal Check temperature cable and temperature cable type setting,If
problem persists, replace recorder or PARA board.
IBP no signal Ensure IBP cable is ok,If problem persists, replace PARA board.
CO2 no wavefrom Ensure CO2 cable is ok,If problem persists, replace CO2
module.
“CO2 COMM STOP” Ensure that the MAIN-CO2 cable is properly connected to the
MAIN board and CO2 module. If problem persists, replace CO2
module.

5.2 Connection and Inspiration
Connect the simulator, power cable and sensor cable to the patient monitor; turn on the power.
Patient monitor shall display startup picture and then enters monitor screen.
5.3 Function Test
5.3.1 Display Test
After patient monitor enter monitor screen, the characters and waves should display clearly without
dithers and blurs.
5.3.2 Key Test
Press every key on the keypad, the patient monitor shall execute the corresponding function as
instructed in the operation manual. The encoder shall execute the corresponding as well.
5.3.3 Sound Test
There should be key sound when rotate encoder; there should be alarm sound when triggers alarm.
5.4 ECG Test
5.4.1.1 ECG Calibrate
Set ECG channel 1 and channel 2’s gain to: ×1 and open ECG calibrate switch, ECG wave should
be a 1mV, 1Hz square wave, check the wave amplitude should be 10mm±0.5mm.
5.4.1.2 ECG Gain
Set ECG channel 1’s gain to: ×1, ECG channel 1 lead to II and set ECG simulator to input a 1mV
1Hz square wave, ECG1 wave should be a 1mV, 1Hz square wave, check the wave amplitude should be
10mm±0.5mm.
Set ECG channel 2’s gain to: ×1, ECG channel 2 lead to II and set ECG simulator to input a 1mV
1Hz square wave, ECG2 wave should be a 1mV, 1Hz square wave, check the wave amplitude should be
10mm±0.5mm.
5.4.1.3 ECG Lead
Set ECG simulator to input normal ECG wave, Select all ECG lead and gain, ECG wave should be
correct according to simulator.
5.4.1.4 Lead Off
Disconnect ECG lead from ECG simulator, there should be correct ECG lead off alarm.
5.4.1.5 Heart Rate
Set ECG simulator heart rate to be 30, 80, 300, the patient monitor’s heart rate should be 30, 80 and
