WARNING! Before cleaning the unit, the power shall be turned off and kept off
until the cleaning material has evaporated.
4 ROOM PREPARATION
Plan a layout and prepare the x-ray room before starting the installation. Refer to
the attached dimensional drawings of the wall stand. (DD-33-13)
If the wall stand is not installed with components that are made by Control-X
Medical, Inc., please refer to the original manufacturer’s specification.
ATTENTION! The site must comply with federal regulations and local codes, as
well as the dimensional and power requirement set forth here and for
other equipment.
Inspect the room before installation. If the condition of the wall and the floor is not
suitable for leveling and holding the stand, corrective action shall be taken (putting
a brace between the studs shall be considered).
The final location of the stand shall be predetermined before starting the
installation. With overhead support the center wall stand can be offset from the
centerline of the table. For complete system installation and site planning refer to
the appropriate room layout drawing.
You may use the same size raceway as it is used for the basic box.
For easy drywall (plaster) installation, light duty screw anchors for drywall are
recommended (preferably self-drilling).
If the wall is made of concrete or brick simple light duty plastic anchors are
adequate to hold the box.
5 SHIPPING ARRANGEMENT
If the wall stand is a part of a complete system the tubestand and wall stand
columns are professionally crated. The stand is not completely assembled. The
Vertical Carriage-Bucky assembly and the weight compartment are packed
separately from the column.

− Clean any grease or dust from the unit, accumulated during transportation
− Remove the accessory box (es) and the weight compartment from the crate.
(If the wall stand was ordered as a part of an X-ray system then it may be
assembled and packed in a different way than if it were a stand-alone wall
stand.)
− Open the accessory box (es) you should find the following components and
compare to the checklist:
− Bucky assembly:
The vertical carriage, the pulley assembly with wire ropes are attached to the
Bucky that includes the tray.
If the system features the AEC option the chamber is installed inside the Bucky.
The grid is packed with the Bucky assembly in a separately cardboard box.
− Top cover
− Wall mounting brackets (2 pc)

CAUTION! The erection of the wall stand requires at least two installers to avoid
injury and/or damage to the wall stand
− Position the stand in such a way that the Bucky assembly will face away from
the wall. Temporarily mount the stand to wall. Verify that the wire cables are in
the pulley grooves.
WARNING! Use caution during the following process, because vertical motion of
the tube carriage and weight cabinet creates scissors and may hurt
your hand or finger when they reach inside the opening at the back of
the column.
− If further balancing is required, remove the weight cabinet access panel from
rear of the column and add or remove the proper amount of weight bars.
There are two openings on the basic box. One rectangular hole is on the rear of
the box (1 3/16” x 1 5/8”) to junction to an inside wall conduit (Figure1). The other
opening is on the bottom of the box (1 1/8” x ½ ”) for a raceway (Figure 3).

7.6 Positioning the wall receptor parallel with the tubestand vertical travel
− Move the vertical carriage and the wall receptor to their highest position and
rotate the x-ray tube (90°) toward the wall receptor.
− Move the top portion of the stand to align with the cross-hair shadow. Repeat
the same procedure with the receptor in the lowest position.
− Verify that the receptor is centered within 1/8-inch along the vertical travel.
− When the wall receptor is parallel with the wall stand’s vertical travel and is in
the correct location, anchor the wall stand to the floor and the wall.
− Remove the 2 front cover mounting screws from the bottom mounting bracket.
(M4 x 6 mm)
− Install the shorter piece of the front cover as the bottom section.
(Do not tighten the mounting screws.)
− Carefully slide the Bucky to its lowest position and install the long top section.
