AYLA: THE DAUGHTER OF WAR

The movie is the true story of a Turkish


sergeant Süleyman Dilbirligi. Yigit Güralp
writes the script as a drama and Can Ulkay
directs the movie in 2017. Ismail Hacıoglu
(young) and Cetin Tekindor both act as the
sergeant Süleyman. Kim Seol (child) and
Kyung-Jin (young) both act as Ayla.

During Korean War, in 1950, sergeant


Süleyman finds a little girl. She has no
parents. She is scared and lost in the middle
of the war. The little girl affects sergeant
Süleyman and he names the girl “Ayla”. As the
war finishes, Turkish troops in! Korea returns
home but Süleyman doesn’t want to leave Ayla.
He tries to take her with him but he can’t
succeed and has to leave her here. Will they
see each other again?
