Pre-lesson:-
1. Draw outline of a house. Ask pupils to tell what rooms to put in the house and what to put
in the garden. Draw it on the board. Prompt if necessary, e.g. Is there a cellar? (HOTS)
Lesson development:-
2. Pre-teach scary. Tell pupils to put their head on their desks, close their eyes and listen.
3. Play the recording. At the end of the recording, speak quietly and tell pupils to listen again
and imagine.
4. Tell them they are going to draw the picture of the house and garden from their heads.

5. Play the recording again. Pupils draw their own pictures of the house and garden they

6. Go around the class and encourage pupils. Talk to them about their ideas and help if
necessary.
7. Pupils work in pairs or small group and takes turns to talk about their pictures. Finish the
activity with pupils asking and answering in open pairs.

Post-lesson:-
9. Pre-teach doors, windows and roof. Put pupils into group of four. They take turns to talk
about the colours of their pop-up houses, e.g. This is my house. The roof is blue, the door is
white and the window are green.

Pre-lesson:-
Display the flashcards on the board. Write a number between 1 and 9 under each one. Pupils
write the number and then the word in their notebooks. They compare answer in pair and
check in their Student’s Book. (HOTS)
Lesson development:-
1. Pupils do the quiz in pairs. The first time they do it without looking back through the unit.
Pair checks their work with other pairs.(21st CA)
2. Pupils then look back to check questions they did not know. Check answer with the class.
ACTIVITIES
3. Pupils look at the Picture dictionary page for the home (WB page 125)
4. In pairs, they take turns to point to one of the pictures, say the word and what you can do
there.
5. Then pupils write the words under the pictures / on board.

Post-lesson:-
Ask pupils what their favourite song, chant or game is from the unit. Do the song, chant or
game again with the class.
