DAY 001-Saturday-14September 2024
Hyderabad - Chennai Morning Flight - 6:05 AM — Departure from Hyderabad
7:10 AM ~ Arrival in Chennai and leave for Puducherry by AC Bus and have breakfast on the way. Arrive by
11:00 AMand check into rooms,
1:15 PM—Lunch & Rest
4:00 PM Orientation of the trip and visit to Puducherry Beach
8:00PM—Dinner
DAY 002-Sunday- 15 September 2024
8:00 AM Breakfast and head to activity
‘Two CAS activities will be conducted simultaneously for two groups of students. The group will take turns at
doing both the activities.
Kayaking at Mangrove Forest
CAS - Activity Goal- Physical exertion leading to a healthy lifestyle
The students will go kayaking in the Mangrove forest in Puducherry Region. There are about ten species of
Mangroves found along the banks of Gingee River. Kayaking is an interesting and adventurous activity and will
challenge the physical strength ofthe students. They will be guided by local experts.
‘Mangrove Cleanup
CAS - Service Goal—an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has the benefit for the local community
Students will learn about the Mangrove forest and help in cleanup. There has been a surge in tourism in the
region and the unfortunate consequences are rubbish and other debris spoiling the ecosystem. The students can
help incleanup and doing their bit to preserve the ecology.
Students will also engage in collecting soil samples here as a part of their ongoing school project.
1:30PM—Lunch
4:00 PM - Grand Canyon Walk
‘Students will head to the famous ‘Grand Canyon of Puducherry’. This location has unique sandstone formations
and critical ravines that look like mini canyons. These geological formations have been formed more than 20
‘million years ago from the times of Gondwana. The students can walk along the formations, explore fossil woods
and other unique elements. They also will have the opportunity to visit nearby village and see historic remains
like cairns circles and ancient tools.

DAY 003 - Monday 16 September 2024
8:00AM—Breakfast
8:30 AM—Heritage Tour of Pondicherry
A local guide will take the students on a walk-through Pondicherry. They will take the students through the
French Quarter and get insight into the architecture, stunning buildings and streetscapes, and learn about the
history and local stories
This heritage tour will take quite a while and be slow paced, as it will cover almost 8 kilometres and cover more
‘than 10 landmarks. Students can take photographs, notes, and take their time in observation.CAS Camp @ Puducherry
Fun, Adventure & Learning
1:00PM - Lunch,
2:30PM — Special Auroville Experience
The students will visit Auroville and go on tour with an Aurovillian, The experience is curated to ensure the
‘students have a meaningful and interactive visit to the community. The internation township is not a mere tourist
bucketlist but a place of experimentation created to realize human unity. Through this experience students will
understand more of Auroville and how itis an integral part of Pondicherry.
7:00 PM Visit toa French Café
The students will go on a visit to a French café where they will be given an introduction to French cuisine and how
some ofthe dishes are cooked.
8:00PM-Dinner
DAY 004- Tuesday -17 September 2024
8:00 AM Breakfast and check out of rooms
9:00 AM Paper Factory and Origami workshop
CAS - Creativity Goal —Arts and other experiences that involve creative thinking
Students will attend the Aurobindo Paper Factory where they will learn how paper is made. Paper making is a
popular craft in Pondicherry and has several expert craftsmen making paper that is internationally sold.
‘Students will also attend an Origami workshop that will help them understand the Japanese art of paper folding.
12:00 PM— Early lunch and depart to Mahabalipuram,
Mahabalipuram is best known for its UNESCO World Heritage temple complex of temples belonging to the 7°
and 8° Century. Students will visit the famous Shore Temple which is known for its exquisite location along the
seashore and even survived the 2004 tsunami.
2:00PM - Depart for the airportand arrive by 4:30 PM
7:00 PM— Flight for Hyderabad and arrival by 8:10 PM.
