Thank you for your interest in Kids Kampus, Pakistan’s leading
pre-school network.

This admissions prospectus contains some important information

about our schools, teaching philosophy, curriculum design, admis-
sions criteria and other guidelines that we hope will assist you in
making a well informed decision about your child’s first step in
education.

We strongly suggest that you carefully read the following pages so

that you get insight into our schools and the overall learning expe-
rience that is unique to Kids Kampus.

While we continuously challenge ourselves to create a fun and age

appropriate environment at Kids Kampus, we are also serious

In 1974 Mrs. Mussarat Salamat, a pioneer in early childhood education in
Pakistan, established the Kids Kampus brand with a simple vision to create a
world class pre-school in Lahore. Since its inception, Kids Kampus has deliv-
ered on its unwavering commitment to provide the very best in early child-
hood education. The success of our in-house developed curriculum has
resulted in such an increase in student population year after year that it
spawned the creation of SICAS, a comprehensive network of affiliated elemen-
tary and secondary schools across Lahore which provide top quality education
from pre-school to A levels.

The Kids Kampus motto of “From Darkness Towards Light”
captures our belief in the fundamental power of education. Experience has
taught us that if we develop a child's potential to learn in his formative years
in a nurturing and challenging environment we enable him to progress
through life with initiative and purpose. Hence, we at Kids Kampus strive to
provide a comprehensive and dynamic education that compels our students
to be continuous learners in an ever- changing world. We accomplish this by
getting our experienced faculty to teach an intellectually demanding curricu-

Program
Kids Kampus’s academic program is built on an internally developed,
time-tested and proven curriculum which draws strengths from a wide vari-
ety of local as well as internationally renowned teaching and
learning philosophies. The curriculum’s primary goal is to provide the
necessary learning environment for each child to achieve his maximum
academic and creative potential.

Our curriculum requires students to apply themselves in the classroom in

the core disciplines of literacy and numeracy as well as fire the

imagination by introducing them to various thematic programs including
arts and crafts, music, physical education and, in higher grade levels, foreign
language programs. With each passing year, our
teaching methodologies get increasingly technological. This involves inte-
grating computers and smart boards into day to day classwork.

 TODDLERS
(Ages 2-3)

Two year olds make for terrific learners. Their boundless energy and fast devel-
oping cognitive ability allow them to be highly curious and receptive to learn-
ing at a very early age. Our Toddlers program is specifically design to ensure
that our youngest students adapt easily to a formal learning
environment and enjoy their first encounter with education.

Our program includes language development skills so that children can trans-
form their ideas into words and sentences. All classroom activities are designed
to encourage your child to get accustomed to basic classwork as well as interact
with his peers in a creative and fun filled environment.
We believe in a considerable amount of e-learning and so from the very start

 PLAY GROUP
(Ages 2-3)

Toddlers transition to Playgroup where their world opens up in new ways as they
continue to improve their language skills, learn slightly complex games, and
sharpen their motor skills. Our Playgroup program introduces basic language,
math, science and social skills in a holistic manner in order to encourage learning
one step at a time.

The Nursery stage marks the start of more structured learning.

The school day is divided into theme related learning in the centers and

KINDERGARTEN
(Ages 4-5)

Pre-Kindergarten is an important milestone for a child as he begins to

grasp the power of learning. Our program promotes independence while
preparing your child for the next exciting phase; Kindergarten! We make
the transition smoother by helping children become more familiar with an
organized environment and develop more complex skills requiring
increased dexterity. We focus on group play to develop social skills, such as
listening, sharing, and cooperation.

 KINDERGARTEN
(Ages 5-6)

Kindergarten (KG) marks the starting point of the elementary experience at Kids
Kampus. By this stage students are fully aware of their environment and are able to
understand and follow instructions independently – this makes teaching this grade
both fun and challenging. Our KG program is a comprehensive skill-based program
designed to prepare children for the advanced requirements of upcoming grade 1. We
ensure that our students enjoy and appreciate their educational process while devel-
oping elementary level competency in the core subjects of English, Urdu and Math.

 GRADE 01
(Ages 6-7)

Grade 1 is a critical grade level at Kids Kampus. Students in this grade build on skills
and concepts learnt in previous years to understand advanced
concepts in literacy and numeracy. For example, our reading program includes pho-
nics, letter-sound associations and identification of word patterns which help
students not only recognize common words automatically but also attempt to deci-
pher unfamiliar words.

Participation in extracurricular activities is strongly encouraged in this grade and

students too keenly look forward to performing in their school’s annual play and
displaying their sporting skills at the annual sports day.

Students, especially those who are preparing for Aitchison and other external admis-
sions test, are also required to improve their exam taking techniques and master the
syllabus requirements for English, Urdu, Mathematics through

 GRADE 02
(Age 7-8)

In grade 2 students transition into a fully developed elementary school envi-

ronment and continue to learn more complex concepts in the core subjects of
English, Urdu, Mathematics as well as logic and reasoning. In an effort to
expose students to a broad based education, they are also given instruction in
social science, Islamiyat, IT as well as French
(conversation).

Students who are preparing for the Aitchison (K-3) and other external admis-
sions test are extensively taught to meet all test requirements as well as
improve their exam taking techniques to maximize chances of success.

Procedure
Admission at Kids Kampus is very selective and parents of prospective stu-
dents can apply for terms starting in August/September, January or April
depending on availability and age eligibility requirements.

The admissions team seeks to admit those students who, in its discretion, will
be able to embrace the opportunities provided by school and who are com-
mitted to the mission and vision of Kids Kampus. All applicants are reviewed
extensively to determine whether he or she will be able to benefit fully from
the experience offered at Kids Kampus.

The admissions process starts with the submission of the school registration

form, followed by a basic academic assessment of the applicant along with an
interview of the applicant and the parent(s). Depending on the age of the
child some of the areas that we take into consideration when assessing his
eligibility for admission are:

Age boundary for grades
Siblings, returning students and children of alumni

Parents are advised to apply at least 2 months prior to the beginning of the
term they intend to enroll their child in so as to allow enough time for the
various stages of the admissions process to be completed. Additionally, par-
ents who intend to enroll their child for the term starting
August/September are advised to conclude the admissions process in April/-
May i.e. before the start of school summer break.

All Kids Kampus schools offer the highest standards of classroom as well as

structure to ensure that our students, teachers and school management staff
are provided with the best available resources.

 Kids Kampus is the pioneer in Aitchison and other external elementary school admission
test preparation. For more than forty years no pre-school has prepared and successfully
placed more students in schools such as Aitchison and Convent of Jesus & Mary than Kids
Kampus. Students studying in Grade 1, who have
previously indicated a preference to appear for the Aitchison admission test, are
rigorously taught all elements of the admission’s requirements such as a solid
foundation in core subjects like English, Urdu and Mathematics as well as basic concepts
in Logic and Reasoning. Students are also encouraged to learn test taking techniques so
that they develop confidence in their ability to take the test. Our Grade 1 faculty mem- PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
bers are some of the most talented and experienced admission experts fully familiar with
the academic criteria required at this grade level as well as cognizant of test preparation
and exam taking skills required by the students.

Aitchison test preparation: while historically students have only appeared for the K-2
admissions test, starting in 2014-2015 academic year Kids Kampus - Gulberg also started
offering Grade 2 which allows students to also appear for the K-3 admission test.

Parents are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with the test requirements for their
elementary school of choice e.g. Aitchison, Convent of Jesus & Mary etc., and clearly
indicate their preference at the time of admission so that the school management staff
can evaluate and place students in the appropriate grade levels and sections.

 SICAS
Every year a large number of Kids Kampus graduates transition to SICAS, an
affiliated network of top quality elementary, primary and high schools offer-
ing seamless education uptil A levels. The first SICAS school was established
in 1999 in response to Kids Kampus parents’ popular demand to establish a
school where their children could continue to receive excellent academic
instruction which they had grown accustomed to at Kids Kampus. Today, the
SICAS network boasts five distinct campuses offering an intensive academic
curriculum to both boys and girls. The campuses are located in Gulberg,
DHA and Johar Town to cater to the geographic convenience of the stu-
dents and families. Every year, SICAS students achieve distinctions in aca-
demic performance in the CIE –Cambridge International Examinations – as
well as international debating and
athletic events.

All SICAS campuses are equipped with the best available school
facilities including purpose built campuses, air conditioned classes, well
stock libraries and science labs and many other state of the art resources
and facilities.
