THE POWER OF NOT FAILING IN JUST ONE THING.

Do you know that failing in just one thing can ruin and shatter ones aim, idea , intent, objective or
purpose? Failure in just one exams can ruin or affect ones career, it can add an academic session
just because of one failure in a particular course. Failure in one step in a particular process can
ruin or destroy a particular practical or manufacturing of an object or even in an aspect of life
decisions.
Joshua the son of Nun the successor of Moses remembered his experience of God's dealings with
his people from Egypt to the promised land of Canaan he realized that God has never failed. He
remembered remembered the plagues in Egypt and how God dealt with Egyptian armies of
pharaoh at the Red sea, he remembered his experience of crossing a dry land on the Red sea and
the water of the sea divided into two walls, he remembered God's Providence and provision,
protection and healings, the miracles and all other marvelous things God provided to them. He
realized that God never failed
Joshua remembered how Moses his master and pace setter bade farewell about his departure
when he was about to die, he also called all Israel, their elders, heads, judges and officers, he gave
them a farewell speech knowing he was about to die.
In Joshua 24:14

Joshua reminded them of all the promises God has done to Israel God has faithfully fulfilled all
the promises and not in one thing has the Lord failed. He confidently pronounced to the people of
Israel that God never fails.

Could you imagine how the universe will be if God would've failed or should fail in just one
thing? How will the universe be if God choose not to exercise just one of his divine attributes?
How will the universe be if God should seize to exist for just one second? Or if he sleeps or just
slumber for just one second? All may fail us in life but God has never failed and will never fail.
Since the fall of man in the garden of Eden man became a failure just because of one
disobedience of eating just one fruit and since then the power of that one wrong choice had
affected the human race because of its consequences. Many people in our lives has failed us and
we have failed many people in life too. Failures are increasingly happening day by day, failure in
schools, churches, friendship, relationship, marriages, work places and all the paradigms of life.
Ever since the fall of man, humans are tremendously craving to avoid failure by seeking their own
intent not reflecting or trying to rediscover how things are according to God's original purpose,
depending on their own understand instead to trust in God. Many fields of human ideas are
working tirelessly to avoid the great problem of failure. philosophers, mathematicians,
archeologists, physicist, physicians, theologian, communist, Buddhism, Hinduism in fact all
human organized fields are seeking to answer how best to avoid failure but discover that failures
are increasing in geometric progression or sequence
While success on avoidance of failure is just in arithmetic progression or sequence. That is calling
us to get back to God the originator of everything, the one who never fails. If God is the only
being that has never failed then we have a great confidence to trust him more
WHY WE SHOULD TRUST GOD.
Proverbs 3:5,6
Psalms 118:8,9
Why is the Bible emphasizing and admonishing about trust in God? And why should we trust
God?
1. He has never failed in one thing Joshua 23:14,15
2. He is perfect
3. He is our Creator
4. He is God
5. He doesn't change
6. He is salvation
7. I will be firm and unshaken
8 . He is the only answer to the failure of the world
9. He is excellent in his duty.

You can hundred percent trust in God. Totally surrender and submit to his will, have faith and
believe in him and he will never fail you in one thing.
Doctors has failed to cure death, philosophers failed to answer the deep questions of humanity,
scholars and theologians has failed to answer some questions of life, lawyers have failed to bring
justice and equity to humanity, soldiers have failed to protect lives and properties and literally all
fields of life has failed, but why don't you trust the only one who has never failed in one thing?
Remember only God that created us can fix us right when we're malfunction in life.

THE POWER OF LACKING JUST ONE THING.

Do you know that the lack of one item in a vehicle can makes the ultimate function of the car not
to be achieved? Do you know that one who lack just one mark can have and f in academics and
just one mark can qualify to had an a ? In the human body, just lack of breath can put the whole
body in danger, which is death? Do you know that many are into miseries,tragedies, pains and
mysterious situations just because they lack just one thing or the other?

The bible recorded a certain young rich ruler who came to Jesus saying "" good master, what shall
i do to inherit eternal life" perhaps this is one of the greatest questions any human should ask for
his or her salvation. He asked a great question that can cause eternity.
At first sight Jesus saw him and loved him, Jesus then replied and said, " why callest thou me
good? None is good, save one, that is God. Thou knowest the commandments and the young rich
ruler boastfully and confidentially said to Jesus, all this i have kept from my youth. When Jesus
heard these things, he said to him, " yet lackest thou one thing, sell all that thou hast and distribute
unto the poor, thou shall have treasure in heaven and come and follow me"
Jesus saw not just the visible part of the young rich ruler but he saw deep into his invincible heart
Jesus knows what is in the heart of men. He first loved the young rich ruler, Jesus knows what the
young rich ruler lacked at first sight it was just one thing he lacked and this one thing is the key to
eternal life, the key that can open the door is eternity, the key that can make his observance and
obedience to the law so completed. In this one thing he lacked revolves every other thing
concerning his salvation but when the young man heard of Jesus' reply, he was very sorrowful to
lose his riches and left with a bitter heart .
 What a privilege to see Jesus, talk with him and ask him about the issues of eternal life, what a
privilege the young rich ruler had,a great encounter that could've transform his life from mortal to
immortal, from earthly possession to a heavenly treasure. Jesus revealed to him what to do
obviously to inherit the kingdom of God. Jesus saw how religious the rich ruler was in keeping the
law not knowing that one ingredients makes the law to be what it is, he thought strick adherence to
the beliefs and guiding principles is all that counts and matters but Jesus realized that he lacked
one thing which is the bond of the law, the heart of the law which is love.

Love is the attribute of God. His commandments is love for God and fellow man. God is love. If
God is love because the law reveals the character of God. If the young rich ruler lacked love it
means he lack God in his heart.
Jesus summarized the ten commandments as loving the Lord your God with all your ability and
loving your neighbor all yourself for if you love God, you keep his commandments.The young
rich ruler didn't love God, for it he had loved God he could have follow the instructions and the
steps Jesus outlined to him for being a citizen of the kingdom of God .
In Paul's later to the Corinthians, through the inspiration of the Holy spirit, he wrote to them
about what is love and what is not love.
In Corinthians 13 Paul had clearly emphasize that true or genuine love is.
Things you need to measure as a sign of true love.
A) Genuine love is not only in the lips, having a sweet melody like angels and men. Sweet words
are not the measure of love. Remember how Delilah trapped samson, the woman Solomon
described in proverbs. Many posses melodious tunes but in them there is no love for it is just a
form.
B) having spiritual gift is not a qualification of genuine love. Do not measure true love by spiritual
gifts because God has created every living being with a gift no one is living with a gift but many
takes it as a sign of true love but is it not. Remember David a gifted musician in the bible who
used his gifts to go against God's law. And no true love is found in disobedience to God's
principles and standards. Spiritual gifts are not measure of true love
C) understanding mysteries and knowledge is not a measure of true love. Many things that with
understand and knowledge in relationship, marriage and many aspects of life things will go
excellent but there are many divorced marriages, broken homes and relationships that failed but
because they lack understand or knowledge but the ingredient and bond that ties everything is
absent or not genuine. Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived on earth, could we say that all
the wives and the concubines he married was a result of genuine love?
D) faith is not the measure of love. Many believe truely that Jesus is the son of God but they don't
have the true love and submission for him. It is possible for your one to believe in you and not
love you. King Saul knew that David is God's chosen he believe and have seen but yet he was
using a fake love in other to kill him. Don't be satisfied when people have faith in you or God and
think that it is the qualifications to genuine love.
E) Alms giving is not the measure of true love. Many today are deceived in relationship and other
aspect of life to believe that someone genuinely love them just because of assistance which might
be financially, educational and otherwise. Many can give you assistance but with a different
motive. Many are helping not because they love to but because it's necessary to help and it's
written. Many have been deceived, abused and maltreated because of giving. Don't feel that true
love is when people give you many things. Remember it can only be a trap in disguise so be
careful.
F) sacrifice is not a measure of true love. Many has mistaken true love to be sacrifice. God's love
for human was beyond sacrifice or giving of his son for salvation. Jesus didn't prove his love by
sacrifice. Sacrifice is the fulfilment of the assignment of God for the salvation of man. It is very
possible for someone to sacrifice what he have just for a cause. You can sacrifice your money to
the kidnappers not because you will love to do that but because you want to fulfill the assignment
of rescue of the victims. Genuine love is far beyond sacrifice. The wicked woman in proverbs
seems to be religious and sacrificial because she offered food of peace offering and she sacrificed
her bed and all she have and was enticing him to make love with her but the bible said she has cast
down many wounded; yea many have been slain by her.
How can i know and spot a genuine love?

The privileges giving to the young rich ruler.

A) to know one magnificent thing he lacked
B) how to overcome the one magnificent thing
C) he was entitled with privilege to secure treasures in heaven
D) was called for discipleship and
E) total commitment with Christ.

Just like the young rich ruler, you are lacking one thing. Did u ever asked yourself what do i lack?
Have u ever pray to God to reveal to you what you lack?
Many are confidently boasting of keeping God's commandments like the young rich ruler, the
pharasees. They are more religious than spiritual and no wonder they pride had filled their heart,
they choose not to listen to God's vital message for what they are lacking.
Paul says they have the form of godliness but denies is power and in vain do they we worship God
because they are teaching the doctrine of men. If you hold until strict religious mindset without a
sound spiritual mindset in combined then you will also posses the attitude of the young rich ruler
and the pharasees. You will never accept the Holy spirit conviction over the issues of life. True
love has been adultrated and fashioned with human opinion instead of allowing the Bible to set
the principles on how to love. At this point of worlds history, many love has waxed cold as
prophesied by Christ, fakery of love and hatred is increasing daily, immoral love is tagged as true
love with not foundations on God's word. John the beloved wrote letter to the 7 churches of Asia,
the first church of Ephesus lack lov and Jesus' admonished them to return to their first love. Until
we plant our love with a heavenly mindset and except we learn to love God then shall our love for
fellow men be firm strong and sure.

STEPS TO FOLLOW IN ORDER NOT TO LACK ONE THING.

1. Never be satisfied with your merits. Don't settle for the current or instant good but do more and
better everyday.
2. Admit and acknowledge you are a sinner if you know your are lacking, you have to lean not on
your own understanding but admit and accept the fact that you are lacking. There is none righteous
no not one. Our righteousness is like a filthy rag
3. Confess and repent. For a genuine repentance to happen a confession must be made by the one
who lacks and to totally surrender for God to lead you all the way in knowing all truth.
4. Action. When a mind is changed, action is changed too. For a sinner who Lacks and has
repented, his actions will portray Christ by reflecting his character
5 commitment and choice. Choice is an act that exist since before creation. God himself choose
not to exercise his authoritative power on our choices, he gave us as a gift to choose but In every
choice lies a consequences whether good or evil. We are chosen before the world began and it's
our decision to choose God and totally surrender to him by making a radical commitment to
follow him and that is a commitment of choice for discipleship.
6. Follow. One of the requirements in being a Christ disciple is to be willing to follow him all the
way without doubt, fear, profit and expectations or excuses. Some have excuses like the two
disciples Jesus called.
You must be ready to count the cost and accept it with faith. For one to follow Christ, there must
be self denial and Jesus must be regarded and exalted above an earthly relationship, treasure. You
must deny even yourself then take the cross and follow him.

The joy of it is, sweet promise is given to everyone that believe, accessory the call, commit
himself by carrying the cross to follow Jesus Christ all the way. Remember Jesus never fail. He
will perfect you in your weaknesses.
Search yourself, think deep and diligently, seek God in prayer to know the things you lack in life.
THE POWER OF KNOWING JUST
Jesus was passing by with his disciples, his disciples saw a blind man from his birth and asked
him saying, master who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind ? But Jesus replied
neither has this man sin nor his parents, but the work of God should be manifest in him.
After Jesus spoke to them, he spat on the ground and made a clay of the spittle and anointed the
eyes of the blind man and Jesus say to him, go, wash in the pool of siloam meaning "sent". When
he obeyed his eyes were opened. His neighbors saw him and recognized him and asked him, he
told them he was aforetime blind man and he was healed by a man called Jesus.
His neighbors brought him to the pharasees for it was on the Sabbath day Jesus healed the man.
They asked the man how he gained his sight and he explained. And divisions was found among
them. Some of the pharasees said, this is not man of God, some said he kept not the Sabbath,
others said, how can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? So they asked the blind man again.
What sayest thou of him, that he opened your eyes? He said he is a prophet. But many did not
believed that he was once blinds, they inquired from his parents but realized that he was aforetime
blind. They persuaded the parents to know by what means was he healed but they parents say they
know not.
The pharasees and other Jews said to the healed blind man, give God the praise. For wet know
that this man is a sinner. They didn't believe in Jesus as God himself. Prophecies obviously show
the signs of messiah fulfilled in Christ yet they're religious attitude combined with pride was in
control of their heart.
 But the blind man answered and said, "whether he be a sinner or no, i know not, one thing i know
that, whereas i was blind but now i see". This was an amazing answer by the healed blind man
who probably has no broad knowledge due to his disability, perhaps he never had the opportunity
to be educated but he was able to discover just one thing that is very important in life. He believed
Jesus not as the pharasees, he believed in righteousness of Christ not the pharasees, he was able to
recognize Jesus as the saviour, the greatest physician. He wasn't distracted about what people say
about Jesus, with all their negative and evil comments trying to mar the reputation of Jesus, that
didn't stopped him from the perspective of seeing the true identity of Jesus.

The one magnificent thing that blind man knew was, he was once blind but now he see. He
discovered his past condition and his present situation. With this one magnificent thing he knew,
he invited them to be Christ disciples but they rejected the call and said they are Moses disciples
not knowing that Moses wrote about Christ.
The pharasees were spiritually blind and that's one thing they needed to know, that they are
spiritually blind. But they rejected the truth of knowing the one magnificent thing. Jesus healed
the blind man so that spiritual blind men should discover their blindness and come to Jesus to
know the one magnificent thing by leaving the past and living a new free life from blindness of
pride and sin.
In our lives today, we were anxious and so zealous to know so many things; I'm our academic
pursuit, Spiritual realm and many aspects of life but this blinds man principle is to focus on
knowing just one thing . We need to know who we were in the past and who we are presently. But
it's unfortunate that many in life who they were and who they currently are. This has to do with
discovery of purpose, a life without purpose is of no value and significance. Many are spiritually
blind like the pharasees of Jesus time, they don't know who they are, they are purposeless and the
most important thing is knowing who you are by discovering your purpose and focus on who you
are
You can be like many others in the bible who desire to know one thing and their lives
tremendously were changed. Zaccheus desire to know Jesus, his encounter with Jesus transformed
his life by understanding just one thing, he confessed and said "I'm a sinner" and he made a
commitment immediately by making a genuine repentance and promise to refund back what he
collected with fraud. To every sinner and those in sickness that had contact with Jesus, they
experienced a changed life and their life was never at it was. It is never too late to come to Jesus.
Jesus is calling everyone who is heavy laden, he will give rest Matthew 11:28. Are you willing to
accept his invitation? Do not be a jack of all trade because you'll end up being a master of none.
Focus to know one thing.
