1) Let A a.nd B denote invertible n x n matrices. show that A= B if and only if A- 1 B = I.

2) Let A and B denote invertible n x n matrices and let / be the n x n identity matrix.

a) Verify that A(!+ BA)= (I+ AB)A and tha.t (1 + BA)B = B(I + AB).
b) If/+ AB is invertible, verify that J + BA is also invertible and show that

(/ + BA)- 1 = I - B(I + AB)- 1A.
