Then, look at the tables and use them to help you answer the following questions.

the objects that do not bend easily?

Some of those that bend are flatter or thinner. Those that can’t be bent are thicker.
Some of those that bend are softer. Those that can’t bend are hard.
Some of those that bend can be squashed. Those that can’t be bent, can’t be squashed.
What differences are there between the objects that twist easily and
the objects that do not twist easily?
Some of the objects that twist are flatter or thinner. Those objects that can’t be twisted are
thicker objects.

Can you describe any similarities between the two tables?
Nearly all of the objects that can be bent can also be twisted.
The objects that can be bent have similar properties to those that can be twisted.
Is there anything interesting about some of the objects?
A plastic straw can bend easily, but can’t twist easily as
it bends before it twists. It can only be made into a
twisted shape by bending it several times.
Toilet paper acts differently when it is made into a roll.
It becomes harder to bend and twist.
