LATIHAN SOAL RECOUNT TEXT

The following text is for questions 16 to 19.

My soccer team didn’t lose a game during this regular season so we could participate in the South Portland
tournament. The first game was easy for my team. We beat Biddeford five to one.
The next game was tougher. We played Westbrook and beat them one nil. I played goalkeeper for the
entire game. My teammate scored the only goal of the game. We barely made the playoff. We were tied with
two other teams, but we had more goals than they did so we got to move on.
The third game was the hardest yet. We would get a goal then they would. This went on for about four
goals then finally my team scored two in a row. This game we played the Eagle, and the final score was four to
six. Our team won, so we went on to semi-finals and played the Massabesic. We tied them, so we went onto
sudden death. They took out one of our midfielders in the box. We got a penalty kick. Our best player took the
kick and put it right in the top corner. We won, and got to the finals!
We played Saco. It was the toughest game I had ever played as a goalie. I saved eighteen shots. The game
was tied until the final minute when our best player scored. It was one to zero with 56 seconds left. The other
team set up for an attack play. They rushed up the field, got past the defence and shot. I saved the first shot but
not the second. They tied the game. We had overtime but neither team scored. We went into a penalty shoot-
out. Our team got all our shots in, and saved three of the other team’s shots. We finally won the South
Portland tournament.

The most enjoyable tour of my life was my tour to United Arab Emirates (UAE). I always want to travel
there because of its culture, history and entertainment. I planned my trip during my summer vacations. I chose
a friend to go with me so we could have a lot of fun together. I booked airline tickets and started to prepare my
tour. After preparing my luggage, I googled about the place. Then, I searched for some travel agents whose
affordable prices and good reputation.
Finally, the day came. We departed to UAE. The first thing we did was to reach our hotel. The travel
agents scheduled a trip to the deserts and they had their categories of it. I chose the overnight desert Safari
tour. There, I enjoyed the sunset and sunrise behind the sand dunes. The second tour was to a Dhow Cruise in
Marina which was probably the best among all. The cruise tour took place at night as we moved around the
city and admired the huge buildings and skyscrapers that brightly lit during the night. After the cruise tour, the
travel agents helped us take a tour around Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It was pretty fun.
These were very beautiful places that we visited. It was a little expensive tour, but it was an experience of
a lifetime.
