Nominal values
Observe the following setpoint values for the left and right headlights:
Variable Value
Supply voltage 12 V
Voltage range 8 to 16 V
Temperature range -40 to 85 °C
Diagnosis instructions
Failure of the component:
All bulbs of the exterior lighting are monitored by the footwell module (FRM) as of terminal
15 ON. The hot monitoring is based on current measurement of the individual bulb outputs.
The hot monitoring is based on current measurement of the individual bulb outputs. A
faulty bulb is detected within approx. 2 seconds.
In the event of a failure in communication with the left headlight driver module (STML) or
right headlight driver module (STMR), carry out the standard tests (global test procedure). If
there is an internal control unit fault, the following behaviour is to be expected:
Fault code entry in the left headlight driver module (STML) or right headlight driver
module (STMR)
Check Control message in the instrument panel
In the case of a communication failure with the LED main light module on the left (LHML)
or the LED main headlight module on the right (LHMR) perform the standard checks (global
test module). If there is an internal control unit fault, the following behaviour is to be
expected:
Fault code entry in the LED main light module on the left (LHML) or LED main
headlight module on the right (LHMR)
Check Control message in the instrument panel
