QUESTION 1
INTRODUCTION
Public speaking has long plagued individuals with an overwhelming sense of fear and
trepidation. The pressure to deliver a presentation or address an audience can be overwhelming,
and can cause much stress and anxiety turning it into a dreaded endeavor for many. Fear of
public speaking is a common form of anxiety. It can range from slight nervousness to paralyzing
fear and panic. Many people with this fear avoid public speaking situations altogether, or they
suffer through them with shaking hands and a quavering voice. But with preparation and
persistence, you can overcome your fear.
According to science, your body does experience a certain pressure in situations like this which
takes a major hit on our vocal cords. When symptoms begin to arise, the most common change is
seen in our breathing and voice patterns.
GENERAL DISCUSSION
The following are the steps that may help Mr. Herbert Wamba on how to deal with nervousness
during his public speaking.
Know your topic: One of the most effective ways to combat nervousness is through preparation.
I will encourage Mr. Hebert Wamba to understand what he will be talking about(topic). By
understanding the topic it will be easily to deal with nervousness during public speaking. Also he
must consider questions that the audience will ask based on his topic so as he will be able to
tackle the questions correctly and easily.
Get organized. Mr. Wamba must be well organized during his preparation. Example, he must
well master his topic, organized in his apparency in matter of being well dressed officially to
present the public. Also he must prepare things that will help him during his presentation
example the laptop, or any audio and visual aids that will support him when he forgot something.
The more organize he is the less nervous the will be . He can use any outline paper or card that
will help him to stay on track. He can also visit a place if possible and trying to make practice
before the real presentation. By getting organizing in all sectors he will battle the nervous
problem.
Practice, and then practice some more. I will advise Mr. Wamba to practice more before his
presentation not once but maybe several times. By trying to do it to some people assuming they
will be there in presentation, and ask for their opinions or feedback, it will be so helpful because
practice makes perfect. Also he can consider making a video of his presentation so as he can
watch it and see opportunities for improvement.
Understanding the challenge specific worries and face them. When you're afraid of
something, you may overestimate the likelihood of bad things happening. He can list any specific

worries. Then directly challenge them by identifying probable and alternative outcomes and any
objective evidence that supports each worry or the likelihood that he feared outcomes will
happen.
Visualize your success. Mr. Wamba must believe himself that he can do it without nervous
problems. Positive thought can make help decrease some of your negativity about the social
performance and relieves some anxiety. Before the speech. He must suggest to takes a few
moments to visualize himself delivering the speech successfully. This can include imagining the
audience reacting positively, applauding his key points, and engaging with him throughout the
presentation. Example, before his speech, Mr. Wamba takes a few minutes to close his eyes and
picture himself delivering his presentation confidently and effectively , with the audience engage
and responsive.
Do some deep breathing. . Encourage Mr. Wamba to practice deep breathing techniques before
taking the stage. Pay attention to breathing patterns during the speech to prevent shallow
breathing caused by nervousness. Example: He can take a deep breath before starting a new
section of the speech to ground oneself and maintain composure. This can be very calming. Take
two or more deep, slow breaths before you get up to the podium and during his speech. Mr. W
amba can use progress muscle relaxation techniques to relax to release physical tension, such as
rolling his shoulder, stretching his neck and losing his grip on the podium.
Get support. Join a group that offers support for people who have difficulty with public
speaking. One effective resource is Toastmasters, a nonprofit organization with local chapters
that focuses on training people in speaking and leadership skills. If Mr. Wamba cannot overcome
your fear with practice alone, consider seeking professional help. Cognitive behavioral therapy is
a skills-based approach that can be a successful treatment for reducing fear of public speaking.
Encourage Mr. Wamba to seek support from friends, family, or mentors who can provide
encouragement and constructive feedback.
Cognitive restricting , if Mr. Wamba catches himself thinking about forgetting what he what to
present he can counter that thought as follows “ am the best I will do best”. Changing negative
thought to positive ones can be powerful and win the nervous problem.
Start with smile and connect with the audience, smiling can help reduce nervousness and
make Mr. Wamba appear more confident. Example, As Mr. Wamba walks on stage , he smiles at
the audience , which can also make the audience more receptive. Making eye contact with the
audience can make the speech feel more like a conversation and less like a performance
CONCLUSION
Nervousness or anxiety in certain situations is normal, and public speaking is no exception.
Known as performance anxiety, other examples include stage fright, test anxiety and writer's
block. But people with severe performance anxiety that includes significant anxiety in other
social situations may have social anxiety disorder (also called social phobia). Social anxiety
disorder may require cognitive behavioral therapy, medications or a combination of the two. If
possible, suggest that Mr. Wamba begins by speaking in front of smaller, more familiar groups

before tackling larger audiences. This can help him gradually build his confidence and comfort
level with public speaking.
QUESTION TWO
INTRODUCTION
Every child has a right to learn and get a good quality education, regardless of gender, where
they live or their circumstances. Because educating girls or women can make informed choices
from a far better range of options, educating girls saves lives and builds stronger families,
communities and economies. With an education, girls will understand their rights, have a greater
sense what is needed to support health and wellbeing, and they will have greater opportunities to
be employed in a fulfilling way and achieve their full potential.
GENERAL DISCUSSION
Based on the motions which states as “Women education ends in kitchen”. I oppose this
motion due to the following reasons:
Economic growth: Education for girls and boys increases productivity and contributes to
economic growth. Globally, women are not in the formal job market as much as men but
many studies show there are economic benefits if they are allowed to join the labor force.
Educating girls and young women increases a country’s productivity and contributes to
economic growth. Some countries lose more than $1 billion a year by failing to educate
girls to the same level as boys.
A woman with an education can gets a better job with higher wages and has the effect of
addressing gender imbalances in the labor force. Increased levels of education have a
greater positive impact on women’s wages. According to an International Labor
Organization report, “Educating girls has proven to be one of the most important ways of
breaking poverty cycles and is likely to have significant impacts on access to formal jobs
in the longer term.
Health knowledge saves children’s lives. A child born to a literate mother is 50% more
likely to survive past the age of five. Over the past four decades, the global increase in
women’s education has prevented more than four million child deaths. Educated mothers
are better informed about sanitation, nutrition and immunization for their children,
leading to fewer child deaths from preventable diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia and
malaria or from malnutrition. miller and more sustainable families
Education women or girls helps reduce population growth. Educated women have
fewer pregnancies and are also less likely to become pregnant as teenagers. In many
countries in sub-Saharan Africa, the birth rate among girls with secondary education is
four times lower compared to those with no education.

Reduced infection rates for HIV/AIDS and malaria. When researchers analyzed the
declining HIV/AIDS infection rate in Zimbabwe from 29% of the population to 16%
from 1997 to 2007, they found that high levels of girls completing secondary education
was an important factor in making awareness campaigns and efforts to reduce infection
by partners more effective. Better-educated girls and women are also more likely to use
techniques to prevent malaria, such as using bed nets, and are less likely to become
infected.
Education helps in reduction of girls in child marriages: Girls who are better educated
are less likely to be married as children and are more likely to have opportunities for a
healthier and more prosperous life for themselves and their families. Across 18 of the 20
countries with the highest prevalence of child marriage, girls with no education are up to
six times more likely to marry as children than girls with a secondary education.
Better prepared for natural disasters and climate change: Higher levels of education
generally help prepare families for coping with shocks. Girls’ education in particular is
associated with reduced injury and death and increased family and community resilience
from the hazards of natural disasters and extreme weather that results from climate
change. A 2010 World Bank study of developing countries from 1960 to 2003 found that
countries with higher levels of female schooling were less likely to suffer high rates of
death, injury, and displacement due to weather disasters.
More control over their lives: When girls go to school, they grow into women who have
more say over their lives and have an increased sense of their worth and capabilities.
They are less likely to be subjected to domestic violence and will participate more in
decision-making in households.
More skills to be leaders; Education helps women to gain the skills needed to take on
leadership roles at local and national levels. Better-educated women are more likely to
join bodies, whether volunteer or elected, where they can take part in making decisions
that affect their lives and those of their communities.
CONCLUSION
I conclude that, educating women , educating the world because huge number of populations in
the world are women , Educating girls saves lives and builds stronger families, communities and
economies. An educated female population increases a country's productivity.
