Dear Teachers:

We have implemented an EasyBridge Auto-Rostering solution and Google Classroom Integration with Realize.

In this document you will find step-set instructions that will walk you through the login and initial set up that applies to the
Savvas Learning Company products and integrated platforms you will be using in your classroom. Be sure to carefully review
this information and take advantage of additional online support and training resources that are linked within this document.

Using EasyBridge (EB) auto-rostered classes:

This document contains additional sections to assist you with logging into and initially setting up your EB auto-rostered
classes in Realize, ClassView, MathXL for School, and/or SuccessMaker. Be sure to review the following sections in
this document that apply to the Savvas Learning products and/or platforms you will use in the classroom.

Using Google Classroom (GC) classes:

The GC section of this document will walk you through your login process so that you can access Realize and then add
Google Classes to Realize. Additional information has been provided as links to external resources that will help you
avoid common support issues as you set up and begin using this integration option. GC classes can only be used in
Realize. If you need to use another auto-rostered integrated platform like ClassView, MathXL for School, or
SuccessMaker, you will find additional sections in this document that will get you logged into these platforms from EB
and set up with EB auto-rostered classes.

 USING GOOGLE CLASSROOM CLASSES IN REALIZE - LINKING: OFF

1. Log into Google Classroom, create class, & invite students to join:

1. Log into EasyBridge, launch Realize, and import your Google Classroom classes:
NOTE: Do not add Realize products to classes in EasyBridge

In EasyBridge only add other content you need to grant student access to: MathXL, iLit, SuccessMaker

Your Google Classroom account can only be linked to one EasyBridge/Realize user account
at a time. If previously linked, select Disconnect, and connect your new EasyBridge
Auto-Rostering account to your Google Classroom account

 WHAT GOOGLE CLASSROOM TEACHERS NEED TO KNOW:
USERS WITH MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN REALIZE
GC can link to only one EB account in Realize. If the user previously connected a GC account to a EB Basic/Realize account,
they may need to first disconnect those accounts to then connect with a new EasyBridge auto-rostered user account.
UNLINKING GOOGLE CLASSROOM FROM REALIZE - LOSS OF DATA
Whenever disconnecting a GC user account from an EB Basic or Plus/Auto account, you will start over blank in Realize.
Unlinking an account from GC should ONLY be done when necessary. Call Support for assistance: 800-848-9500
GOOGLE CLASSROOM ROSTERS ARE MAINTAINED BY THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM TEACHER
Teachers will need to add or drop students from the Google class in GC. It is best practice to verify the students have joined the
Google class process before creating assignments for the GC Class in Realize. EB/GC linked classes in Realize will not keep
the class roster updated in GC.
REALIZE IS THE SYSTEM OF RECORD FOR ASSIGNMENTS
Teachers must be in Realize to create and/or maintain assignments. Teachers should not change assignment names or due
dates in GC.
UNLINKED EASYBRIDGE AND GOOGLE CLASSROOM CLASSES DO NOT SYNC IN REALIZE
If using IMPORTED GC classes in Realize, those classes will not be linked to EB classes. EB classes do not sync with
imported/unlinked GC classes in Realize. The GC class appears in Realize with the GC class name and students add to the
roster in Realize when the student both JOINS the Google class in GC AND crosses over from GC to Realize, linking their GC
account to their EB account.

THE “REALIZE LOGIN” ASSIGNMENT IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Students MUST have access to the assignment called “Realize Login” in GC to cross over from GC to Realize. Teachers should
not delete this assignment in GC, if they do, they will need to recreate a material link to Realize in GC.
ONLY STUDENTS THAT HAVE ACCEPTED THE JOIN CLASS REQUEST IN GC RECEIVE THE ASSIGNMENT
The date the student JOINS the GC class in GC determines which assignments they see after they crossover and link their GC
account to their EB/Realize account. See teacher step set for best practices to ensure students get assignments in GC.
GOOGLE CLASSROOM SUPPORTS CO-TEACHERS
If using IMPORTED GC Classes in Realize: Co-teachers are added to the class in GC. If using LINKED GC Classes in Realize:
The co-teacher must be on the EB class in the data file upload AND they must be added to the GC Class in GC. Teachers
should not invite other teachers to their Google Class as a student – this will result in a role change and loss of data.
HIDING GC and EB CLASSES IN REALIZE
If an imported Google class is hidden in Realize it will not hide the assignments related to that class from students in GC.
Students will receive an error message in GC when they click on assignments for GC classes hidden in Realize. GC classes
hidden in Realize will be hidden in Realize for co-teachers. If a linked EB/GC class is hidden in Realize the class will be hidden
for students in Realize and EasyBridge.
REALIZE CANNOT SUPPORT MORE THAN 100 USERS IN A CLASS
Adding 100+ users to a Google Class that has been imported into Realize will cause stability issues in Realize resulting in sync
errors between GC and Realize.
THE GROUPS FEATURE IN REALIZE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM CLASSES
It is not possible to create a group of students in a Linked or Imported GC Class in Realize.
DO NOT ADD SUCCESSMAKER TO GOOGLE CLASSES IN REALIZE
Teachers from a district or school that integrated SuccessMaker with EB Plus/Auto will see the SuccessMaker product in
Realize. Do not add SuccessMaker to GC classes in Realize. Only add SuccessMaker to EB Classes in EB and have students
access SuccessMaker from EB, not GC. Do not hide EB classes in Realize if SuccessMaker has been added to the class in EB.
