mySAP SRM - Plan Driven Procurement Configuration Guide

Plan Driven Procurement Configuration

Plan-Driven procurement business scenario is used to procure requirements that are actually generated from
an external system (i.e. other than SAP SRM System). The idea is to integrate SRM system with the
backend or external systems (Planning, Design, Maintenance systems etc) and accelerate the procurement
process as SRM will serve as the single front-end for the procurement process.

Note: The below configuration is based on the SRM 5.5 & ECC 6.0. The SRM System has the Extended Classic
Scenario activated in this case.

Backend System (ECC) Configurations

To implement the Plan-Driven procurement business scenario the following customization activities needs to
be performed in the backend system (ECC):
• Entry for Table TBE11
• Entry for Table TBE31
• Entry for Table TBLSYSDEST
• Profile for External Purchasing System - V_T160PR
• Criteria for External Requirements Transfer - V_T160EX

Entry for Table TBE11

The first step is to activate the below BTE (Business Transaction Events) in the table TBE11.

Entry for Table TBE31

The Event 01000710 needs to be included as shown below.

Entry for Table TBLSYSDEST

The next step is to define “RFC Destination of Logical System” i.e. to which system (SRM) should the
backend system (ECC) transfer the external requirements.

Profile for External Purchasing System - V_T160PR

The next step is to define the Profile for the External Purchasing System in the backend system. Here SRM
will act as the external procurement system for the ECC system.

Criteria for External Requirements Transfer - V_T160EX

The next step is to define the criteria for requirement transfer. The profile created in the previous step is
assigned to the combination of a Product Category (material Group) and the Purchasing Group.

SRM System Configuration

SRM Organization Structure Setup
The RFC user in SRM used for making RFC connections from ECC to SRM needs to be assigned to the
SRM Organization structure in the Local Purchasing Organization and Purchasing Group. Besides the
organization units should also have the responsibility for the product categories (material groups) that are set
up in the step “Criteria for External Requirement Transfer – V_T160EX”.

External Requirement Transfer

The last step is to transfer the requirement to the SRM System. In the below case a Purchase Requisition is
transferred to SRM using the program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER.
