CAS Interview #2
Step 1 – Wednesday February 21st
CAS Progress
Self Evaluation -> Peer Guidance
Legend: Y- Yet to Demonstrate B- Has begun to Demonstrate C- Consistently Demonstrates
Directions: Let’s pause and reflect on your CAS journey thus far. Begin by reviewing your ManageBac CAS portfolio, along with this sheet. Rate yourself
according to the prescribed “Y, B, C” scale on each outcome. Afterwards, be prepared to share your self-evaluation with a peer.
This also presents an opportunity for a peer to clarify an outcome, inspire further CAS experiences, and simply act as a support system. Want to know more about
what each outcome means? Check: CAS Outcomes - Possible Reflection Questions and visit CAS Libguides SCIS for resources.
The next step? -> This will also provide the context of discussion for CAS Interview #2 (Group Discussion)

Self - evaluation comments:
Overall, I think I have to make more progress on both the learning outcomes and the reflections since I haven’t accomplished most of the outcomes. Also, I will have to
make a CAS project this year whenever there’s a chance since I will have to do at least one by the end of year 2.
Therefore, I will have to plan out some ideas for potential experience by thinking of my personal interest.
Peer comments: Check out a few of these conversation starters:

How do you use TOK to help better understand and apply ethics (#7) and global issues (#6)?
Tell me more about your CAS Project.
Are you following any social media accounts; reading any books/articles; listening to any podcasts etc that might inspire CAS experiences?
Is there a particular CAS experience where you hope to impact others? How so?
What are ways that you go back to your Clifton Strengths Assessment when planning CAS?
What was your favorite CAS Activity this year so far and why? What excites you most going forward?

If you could ‘rethink’ what ‘reflection’ means...how would it look for YOU?
Comments:
Which outcome do you feel most comfortable with?
Danny feels most comfortable with demonstrating that skills and recognizing the benefits of working collaboratively.
What was your favorite CAS Activity this year so far and why? What excites you most going forward?
Danny’s favorite CAS activity this year was the jogging club. This was because he was able to openly communicate with others, demonstrate his commitment, increase his
stamina and endurance, and because jogging makes him feel fresh and renewed. The thing that excites him most going forward is striving and accomplishing the goals that
he and others set for the jogging club.
