The process

On the 14th of October, 2022 they called together a meeting, we all decided what sport to pick for
the competition. We had chosen football, netball, volleyball and track. 12 students chose to do
track 7 students chose to do football 5 chose to do netball and 3 chose to do volleyball.

REFLECTION 1

REFLECTION ON THE PROCESS


After everyone voted I felt disappointed, I felt that more persons would have been more
comfortable with playing football because, it would have performed better. I prefer football
because I represent the female football team at the school, I would of understand the rules and
regulation better.

My role for this school-based assessment (SBA) I was a coach for blue house (Eustace house) I
was responsible for getting the students to participate and guiding them through the process.
Meet with the athletes for Eustace house, to schedule training session, I had training on
Monday’s and Wednesday’s, I brought equipment for them to practice and get comfortable for
the competation. On the day of the competition, I warm up the team and I prepared for the
competation. My blue house players, there performance was amazing they run at their best and
was willing. I was amaze by them, they were obedient and also, they listening my instructions
during the warm up and the beginning of the race.

During my time as a student at intermediate high, I participate in sport activities I was more into
road relay and football but for the past years I was there, they only had 1 female football team
due to covid. The other students I know very well that participate in all sports event was zimron
Collins, Orlando Gibson, Kelita Aston and Isiah Charles, those students also represent in the
inter secondary school sports.

Recommendation
Track is a very interesting sport to take part in, I’ll recommend person to take part in track
especially if they are good at running. I am not a very good running but it’s a very good sport,

track also can get you scholarships, it can improve multiple skills set, and competing against the
best so I will highly recommend track.

Reflection 2
As a football player physical education was for sure pick as a subject, I am already into sports
and would be ah ease mark for the subject and its exercise. Track competition was successful

Physical education helps me to understand more about the human body, it also helps me improve
my physical abilities as a football player. Some of my students was ah bit lazy but as a coach I
act accordingly and change their mind to participate. I enjoyed doing this subject and exercise
and also the assessment more than any of my other subject, I truly love doing physical education,
it was also a very good experience while doing the subject.

Conclusion
The track competition that was held was a success, there wasn’t no delay or much errors during
the competition, participants in contributing by taking part in the competition where as it helped
to build an interest in the sport, some participants took a liking to the sport and wanted to start
training for track.

Rules of the competition
1. Sprinters should run in designated lanes.
2. No crossing of lanes, through the race.
3. No distracting other athletes during the race.
4. Sprinter should be ready for the start command.

5. Sprinters shouldn’t take off before hearing the final command “go” or “whistle
blow”.
6. No suspended student can take part in the competition.
7. Participants are expected to corporate with all the officials and coaches.
8. Participants should return to their position if there is a foul start.
9. Participants shouldn’t leave the track but if they do so they cannot come back on
the track, will lead to disqualification.
10. No obstructing other athletes during the race.
