Service Bulletin (SB) 1410A supercedes SB 1410 in its entirety. Aircraft that were previously made compliant with
SB 1410 are in compliance with SB 1410A.

SUBJECT: VERTICAL STABILIZER INSTALLATION


IMPROVEMENT

REASON FOR REVISION: SB 1410A corrects submodel name, hardware P/Ns and
effectivity conflict between Table 1 and Required Materials.

COMPLIANCE TIME: To coincide with the next regularly scheduled maintenance event, but not to
exceed the next 100 hours time in service

APPROVAL: The engineering aspects of this service document have been shown to comply
with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and are FAA approved.

PURPOSE: The fasteners and associated hardware used in the vertical stabilizer installation
have the potential to present threads in shear.

This service bulletin provides improved hardware to allow for improved grip
adjustment.

INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: The temporary removal of some interior components, fairings and/or access panels may be required to
accomplish the instructions in this service bulletin.
1. Locate the vertical stabilizer installation, as shown in Figure 1.
2. Remove the six (6) bolts at the locations identified in Figure 1. Discard installation hardware. Replace installation
hardware as indicated in Table 1 and shown in Figure 1.
3. Make a logbook entry documenting compliance with this service bulletin.

EFFECTIVITY DATE: This service bulletin is effective on March 20, 2024.

SUMMARY: Applicable factory participation is limited to new aircraft in warranty at the time of
compliance. Factory participation will remain in effect for a period of time not to
exceed 180 days from the effectivity date of this service bulletin.

Please contact your Piper Approved Service Center to make arrangements for
compliance with this service bulletin in accordance with the compliance time
indicated.

NOTE: Please notify the factory of any address/ownership corrections. Changes should include aircraft model,
serial number, and current owner’s name and address.
