FRIENDLY GUINEA PIG - CROCHET PATTERN

MR= Magic Ring


SC= Single Crochet
INC= Increase
DEC= Decrease

*Note: This pattern does not account for color changes. Most common fur patterns start with a
white yarn nose that transitions to the tan color of the body around Row 4, approximately 5
stitches wide.

*Pattern creates stuffed animal 8” X 4” X 4” with a size H hook.

BODY:
1. MR, 6 SC (6)
2. (1 SC, INC) 3 times (9)
3. (2 SC, INC) 3 times (12)

EARS:
1. MR, 4 SC. Chain 1, turn work (4)
2. INC in next 4 stitches. Chain 1, turn work. (8)

*Cut off long tail, set aside and make second ear. Stitch both ears in at base of neck, fastening
tightly and rolling the ears forward.

FRONT FEET:
1. Slip Stitch on hook. Chain 6, working backwards in second chain from hook, 4 SC in next
4 stitches, 3 SC in next stitch, working around to the opposite side of the chain, 3 SC in
next 3 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch. (12)

4. DEC 6 times (6)
*Cut off long tail, stitch to close. Do not stuff. Set aside and make second front foot.

BACK FEET:
1. Slip Stitch on hook. Chain 8, working backwards in second chain from hook, 6 SC in next
6 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, working around to the opposite side of the chain, 6 SC in
next 6 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch. (16)

4. DEC 8 times (8)
*Cut off long tail, stitch to close. Do not stuff. Set aside and make second back foot. After
creating all feet, sew into the body. Place the front feet at the base of the neck, 4 stitches apart
and angled outward. Place the back feet 12 stitches behind the front feet, also 4 stitches apart
and angled outward.

FINAL DETAILS (NOSE & MOUTH):


1. Stitch black thread along the top and bottom of the nose horizontally, creating an
equal-sign. Use black thread to connect the equal-sign vertically.
