BOOK OF ADVICE

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
(In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and Merciful)

See what the wisdom of the Sultan did;


He told fire, water, earth and wind.

He brought the soil and said Bismillah,


He was also ready there with that majesty.

He created a body from soil and water,


He gave this body the name Adam!

Then the wind came and dried it,


Adam's body is from him, know this!

Finally the fire came and heated it,


When it heated up, the soul entered the body.

“Let the soul enter the body!” was the decree,


The Sultan's order was a remedy for him.

The soul entered and illuminated the body,


The body also added joy to the essence of the soul.

He gave thanks and said: “O Rahman, the merciful


It is not surprising if you create a thousand like me!”

Four qualities came to us with the soil:


Patience, pleasant disposition, trust in God and greatness.

Four kinds of states came with the water;


Cleanliness, generosity, goodness and union.
Four passions came with the wind;
Lies, hypocrisy, impatience and desires.

Four kinds of disasters came with the fire;


Lust, excessive desire, arrogance, greed and envy, jealousy.

Four qualities came with the soul;


Able to be ashamed, morality, superiority and unity.

The Definition of Mind


The beginninglessness of the sultan of mind is from his
light. Mind is also of three kinds: One is ‘’akl-ı ma’âş’’, it
informs the life and order of worldly life. One is ‘’akl-ı
ma’âd’’, it informs the states and situations of the afterlife.
One is ‘’akl-ı küllî’’, it informs the special knowledge and
abilities of Almighty Allah.

The belief that is from the light of the Sultan reaching the
right path is of three types: One is ''ilmelyakîn''
understanding with knowledge, one is ''aynelyakîn''
understanding with discovery, and one is ''hakkelyakîn''
understanding with becoming. The place of the belief that
is ''ilmelyakîn'' is the mind, the place of the belief that is
aynelyakîn is the heart, and the place of the belief that is
Hakkelyakîn is the soul. The faith that comes with the soul
goes with the soul.

Heaven is from the light of the Sultan's greatness and


forgiveness, and hell is from the light of justice. Earth is
from the light of the Sultan's light; water is from his life;
wind is from his majesty and respectful state; and fire is
from his anger. The place of earth and water is heaven, and
the place of fire and wind is hell.
With fire and wind, nine thousand commanders with a
thousand men come. They try to take the person they come
to their own place. With earth and water, thirteen
thousand commanders with a thousand men come. They
also take the person they come to heaven.

There are four people who come with a soul. They come
with a soul and go with a soul. They also have a thousand
men. Those who come with them are immersed in the
beauty of God's countenance.

Those who come with earth and water are in heaven; those
who come with fire and wind are in hell; those who come
with souls are those who are caught in the presence of
God.

Guess which group you are in. Whichever group you follow,
you belong to. Allah knows the truth.

The Epic of Mind and Soul


Come listen now, let me explain,
Let me tell you one by one the essence of it.

The hidden purpose of the Truth is from the earliest time,


The interpretation of these words is from Adam.

This world is very narrow compared to the two worlds,


Look wide, there are a hundred thousand such worlds.

The very big world is the world of the heart,


Those who seek themselves will find it.

Let me give you news from this city of self,


Remove your hopes and expectations from it.
There are two sultans sent to you:
They want to take over your fleshly existence.

One is Rahmanic, related to Allah, coming from the level of


life.
One is satanic, related to the devil, coming from the level of
hatred.

See yourself now, whom you worship,


To whom do you open the door and to whom do you close
the door!

Thirteen thousand are the soldiers of God,


Invincible to anyone, each one is a hero.

Nine thousand soldiers, the beetle of self,


Their horses are always saddled!

Know them well, they have shadowy faces,


So much for hate and complaining.

Oh my God, stay away from them!


Let no fault be written in the book of self.

Pass the desires of the ego, look at the soul,


If you obey, it will happen, your soul will be flooded with
light.

The ego is arrogant, it does not know the sultan,


No provisions and soldiers are given to his command.

Life must be cleaner than the moon in the khan's court,


They should not leave their place, in the presence of the
sultan.

This ego has been rebelling against God since eternity,


Its punishment is actually execution.

The children of the self are nine,


Blasphemy and disruption are their work.

The older child is ambitious and does not hear advice,


The world would still not be enough.

A thousand soldiers stand ready in its presence,


The whole world is captive at his door.

He loves the world, the world is his faith,


He is thirsty, he cannot be satisfied with the world.

Whatever you love is your faith,


How can you not love that he is your sultan?

Know that it is your love that takes you from you,


Sending you in the direction of what you love.

You have no destination beyond what you love,


This is the real meaning, there is a lot of idle talk.

There is no confrontation on this path, there is only


meaning,
Whatever you love, that is your beloved, your friend.

In the realm of the mind, which does not stop for half a
day,
Would it be worthy of the ruler's court, O soul?
I saw a man with a yellow face
It turns out he is tongue-tied and his mind is gone.

He prostrated himself before the mind,


He thanked God: “I found him”

If you're sane, see me,


Whatever it is, give it to me!

You didn't say: “Let me see him once!”


You didn't say: “Let me reach him wherever he is!”

Suppose I strayed from the path because of greed,


Not once did you ask, “What have I done to you?”

I wandered and came to you, know my condition,


Wipe away my tears if you can help me.

I'm trapped by greed and I can't get out,


I can't break the wall very firmly.

Many brave and iron-hearted men,


They wait for the day of their release from this dungeon.

A thousand armed soldiers of ambition,


They are war heroes and brave men.

They throw their captives into this dungeon,


They put an iron ball on your foot.

I asked them: “Who are you?


Who is your elder and who are you?"

They said: “We are all servants of self,


And many of us are great in greed.”

The place of the greedy will be Hell,


How can he who is there find peace?

The man whose abode is Hell,


You won't find anything like him anywhere.

I didn't realize, he deceived me and held me:


“Today, tomorrow!” he said, swallowing my life.

What the mind says goes with its own mind,


Coming to himself, he thought and weighed.

The mind comes back and admonishes him:


"Those who come to us will save their life!

If you've come to us, there's no room for worry,


Don't worry about what to do!

If he had come, along with contentment,


You will see what he will do to the enemies."

The herald called, the conviction came,


He wears a silk robe and rides his horse Burak.

I saw a green banner in his hand,


He won't listen to anyone, look at his anger!

His sergeants shout left and right,


A noise breaks out on every road

The pest of self sees him and runs away,


See now how is the attribute of the Creator.

They are defeated and run away, look at the work of the
Truth,
He beats men and women and does not look at their tears.

They are overwhelmed, they all run away,


No need for a sword, they are helpless.

They are always veterans with bloody swords,


The Arab holds the flying bird and horses.

They fight in places and take many lives,


Some are beheaded, some bleed.

He made it difficult for his soldiers,


They save the province and the city from greed.

They make empty noise, meaningless sounds, screams,


Is it possible for them to save the life from him?

They defeat his army and flow to his province,


They kill men and women and burn the city.

The Shah came back from the holy war and sat on the
throne,
All the mounted soldiers stood at attention.

The whole city and the whole hand was at ease,


Wherever you go, you are filled with blessings.

The famine and disaster are left behind,


All merchants of opportunity are defeated.
Scholars are now busy in worship,
Each of them has become a servant to his sultan.

They hold the sultan's assembly as a venue,


Glass goblet in hand, they pass through all existence.

They were saved and reached their destiny,


The distributor of liquor offers wine, they drink there.

Refreshed, they have no worries,


Their backs are strong and their bellies are full!

To say, “What should I do?” is far from them,


He gives life and sustenance, he is the provider.

When he is the guide, the friend, the Sultan himself,


Table after table comes, O soul!

Many like you have eaten and filled up,


It's the same, not a single piece missing.

Always eaten, but never lacking,


No one knows where it comes from.

They are the ones who have attained this life,


Those who see the face of the beloved absolutely.

In reality, they do not die but remain,


So much so that they receive new fortune every moment.

Yunus, all your words are your duty,


This is your job, no one will fulfill it.

Whatever you have to say, address yourself,


Make all hearts for Allah.

That is why all the work belongs to the guardians, the great
ones,
Ask for them, the path belongs to these servants.

The Saga of Arrogance


I'll let you know if you listen,
Let me show you what the mind says to the spy.

‘’Awareness of not being satisfied with less’’ came to the city


and took the throne,
The thieves stayed on the roads.

They go up the mountainside to block roads,


They will not let the traveler go on his way.

The mind tells the spy, “Turn back immediately.”


"Take news from me to ‘’the consciousness of being content
with less’’.

Let contentment sit pleasantly, the throne is his,


The blessings of the state and fortune are his.

The thief doesn't stay long on the mountain top,


One day he will be captured in a road war

They call it arrogance, they know it,


His rebellious soul will remain faithless.

He likes no one but himself,


He stands on high ground, he does not come down.

Many enthroned ones fell to the ground,


So many “I” sayers are swarmed by flies!

Keep away from yourself the worry of arrogance,


If you follow arrogance, you will fall away.

Those who fall away have no faith,


It turns out that their bodies have no life.

The living person should be careful about his life,


Don't let the matter be a mistake against you.

Don't patronize, you'll get a curse,


You will be one with the expelled.

Watch the door, keep the door, don't watch the bottom,
The state is at the door, don't leave it!

If you wish, wait for the state at the door,


If you hope, wait for the blessing at the door.

Don't like you, you'll fall away if you do that,


When you are helpless, you lose your way.

If there is news of arrogance, to which place,


He who hears that news curses it.

Don't be a comrade with arrogance,


Wherever you see arrogance, fight against it.

Arrogance and desire will not give you continuity in love,


Pity the day you fell to the ground.

Destroy arrogance before your skin collapses,


Get out of this house of difficulties.
If you look at this arrogance, there is no loyalty,
It is a hassle wherever you look.

The owner of arrogance has no blessed gaze,


For this reason, there is no light in the heart.

There is a path to Truth in your heart,


He does not see him, he is a stranger in his hand.

Know well, the path of Truth is a secret in your heart,


All attributes are one in the heart.

Whoever is outside that heart,


He loses his chance and is left empty-handed.

The man of the heart knows the news of the heart,


All you have in your hearts.

Alas, your whole life was in woe,


Pride has led you astray.

What is arrogance that you should follow it?


Do not despair, one day you will hear the Truth.

You will always look at you and see you,


You are proud (boastful, arrogant) and tell only of yourself.

What do you find in these raw thoughts?


With this behaviour, one day you will die without
repentance.

Do not do that which is useless,


It does not have any skill (talent) for your essence.
Seek honour so that you may attain honour,
May you travel with Master and see your friends.

Arrogant people cannot reach a friend,


Arrogance is its own enemy, it cannot see.

You are an enemy to yourself, who is your friend?


It is this bad behaviour that is sent to you.

If you reach the destination with these habits.


What will your life of the heart be like there?

How can you become a comrade with this life?


How can you go forward and become a ruler?

There is no sword in this state,


Who created the sword for you?

You should know who is your enemy,


You should know who has a grudge against a friend.

It is not good to be ignorant (unaware, straying) on this path,


Don't take too long, you've got years of work to do.

Pity you took so long with your vanity,


You threw yourself out of the hearts.

You didn't visit the heart market one day,


You did not listen to the news of a friend.

How long will you run after the world?


You did not do anything one day for Mawla (Allah).
You cannot keep, do not run after the world,
Death is on the way, you can't cross it!

These five days of life are not enough for this expenditure,
Why does your deaf ear not hear?

Arrogance came and darkened you,


The horse of death is a nomad (one who walks a lot), he
came and took hold of you.

You never knew yourself, what a pity!


What kind of a servant are you that you could not serve?

If you are a servant, then where is your master?


How long will your wish hold you?

You are neither sane nor mad,


You are neither alive here nor dead in the grave.

O helpless one, what kind of life is this?


You are full of shirk (duality) and doubt!

If you had no doubt, you should have believed,


Wake up from this sleep of heedlessness.

How long will desire and arrogance keep you?


The universe of death (the great snake) will swallow you one
day!

What can you do with arrogance and desire?


The hand of death is long, how can you go?

The time of the debt of life will come to an end one day,
Death gives your wealth to the wind.
Come and open an eye before this deadline,
Flee from the path of desire and arrogance.

Do not return for five days of life,


Do not be deceived by the trappings of this transient world.

The world has deceived a thousand men like you,


Show me now, whose were all these buildings?

Act fast so you don't get defeated,


Do not be caught in the trap of arrogance.

If you take the advice of arrogance,


You cannot value humility (modesty).

The place of the arrogant is in Siccîn (a valley in Hell),


That's why he was never in religion.

What is the Siccîn for those who follow the path of religion?
What is the religion of the people of hatred and arrogance?

If you don't believe me, you can see what you are,
May you waste this life with arrogance!

Now seek help from the mind, walk!


You have been a prisoner all these years.

Wisdom is a saintly (honourable) person with justice,


It is his work to help the overwhelmed.

The mind that saves you from many troubles,


May happiness be your companion, moon and year.
He came to the universal mind, embarrassed (ashamed),
His eyes are filled with tears of anxiety.

He can't come to his senses and say hello,


He falls into the fire and cannot see his way.

How much time has passed, he counted in his place,


He spent his life in the market of the nafs (ego).

Hear now what the mind tells him:


"Beware, humility is the suitor of your life!"

Humility appeared before the end of his words,


The arrogance saw him and turned his face back.

He draws a sword and comes, from the lowly of the earth,


The arrogance saw him and fled from his mountain.

A shout filled the mountain and the plain,


Paradise for some and Arasat (place of judgement) for
others.

Humility rode on arrogance,


Arrogance looked and saw a soldier as a thousand men.

Rebellious arrogance never left the job,


He spent the winter on the mountainside.

This humility flowed like a river,


It obviously wanted to reach the sea.

No matter how strong the spring,


It doesn't reach the sea, it seeps into the ground.
The water flows and mixes with another water,
Water finds water and reaches the sea.

You were a river until the sea,


Leave the rest, you dived into the sea.

The pearl is not impossible, but the sea,


And why should gold be opposed to him?

There are many strange things in that sea,


But it is hidden to the people and manifest to you.

May you find a vein in every wave,


May you find rubies, pearls and corals.

This is the capital for those who dive into the sea,
Pure (clean) livelihood is needed for one who finds a gem
(diamond, essence).

Humility defeated a hundred thousand agile men,


He subdued (seized) all the lands and seas.

Treasure awaits the humble,


He who seeks high places adds trouble to trouble.

If you arrive humbly, the field is yours,


The ore comes from you, the mine is yours.

It is humility that moves the heavens,


Standing seven storeys below the ground.

The sky and the earth stand on humility,


If you praise, praise humility.
The humble man reaches the state,
Who can catch up with him, he goes on and on.

Humility walked and took the world,


And whatever there is has become a servant to it.

The man of concealment and arrogance became invisible,


He did not ride on a high place anymore.

Modesty and contentment became a pleasant yâr (beloved),


Whatever you wanted was there.

The city and the province became festive again,


Our friend is happy, our enemy is defeated.

The spy went and brought news to the mind,


See what humility has done to arrogance.

Brother, see what arrogance has done for you,


Not one of a thousand men survived.

The mind heard this and was very happy,


He gave glad tidings and immediately descended from the
throne.

The owner of that state thanked the mind,


He was wise and knew the state.

If you need a state, consult the mind,


Nothing can be done without counselling.

Come, forget your knowledge, if you are well behaved,


Bliss for you is whatever you are!
Yunus, you liked humility very much,
That is why you pass to the station of love.

It's your duty, you take care of you,


Who is as close to you as you are?

Leave your face to the ground in public,


This is a far cry from arrogance.

It's a mistake, don't think everything you do is right,


Be gratuitous to everyone, don't get bored for a moment.

The Saga of Rage and Wrath


Come, I'll tell you the news of rage now,
Let me show you one by one, his place in the heart.

Anger says: "I am the only one of all,


I am the only one among so many talents!

No one can stand against me,


I will set the sea on fire in anger.

Wherever I reach, heads will be cut off,


Whoever I get angry with dies then.

Is there anyone who kills like me?


There is none but me who slays bravely!

The created cannot oppose me,


It's hard to be friends with me for a moment!

Who can unite with my prowess?


He finds a way to enter the house of death.
The world cannot succeed in my work,
The angel cannot walk in my path.

A hundred thousand particles (very small) do not appear to


my eyes,
A hundred thousand lions do not look like fleas to me.

They call me anger, I'm a war hero,


I'm ready to disrupt anywhere.

Wherever I tread, no grass grows,


Wherever I go, there is no end of trouble.

Those who hear run away from my words,


Even I fear my own self.

Don't follow me and be unaware,


Do not take my word and die without faith.

Do not think that my sword is for the hand,


My sword is sharp for me too.

Whoever gets angry loses his faith,


If you need faith, destroy anger.

What happens to faith when anger comes?


It falls into the fire and burns, but what happens to the soul?

Anger is disbelief and misguidance (heresy).


God forbid, it is a different state (condition).

Wherever you cannot see it, it hits the road,


He stands wherever there is a ruined place.
His states are nothing like states,
Its end is not like any other end.

Those who are sure of his mischief,


Let him neither fear death nor the grave.

There is none like him in the world,


His trickery and magic are unknown.

If you look at a person, he is calm in appearance,


How do you know what adjective he is?

He wears a rosary around his neck and a cane in his hand,


Not even rubbish is hurt. He steps on the road like that.

Suddenly, he appears out of nowhere,


He breaks the rosary and destroys the rosary head.

He breaks his stick and picks a fight,


He has no face to look at anyone.

I asked: "Sofi (religious scholar), what is this state?


It is impossible for a person like you!"

He apologised: "I am one person,


They call me the mate of so-and-so."

I know him. He has no obedience,


He has no good reputation among the people.

He does not honour (respect) a person like me,


He answers me, he doesn't take advice.

I hit him, he grabbed my collar,


He disobeyed me and forgot the truth.

What shall I say when I seize and subdue him?


The court of anger (judgement, commandment) has always
ruled him.

He leaves himself and tests someone else,


He condemns the one who goes right on the way.

He is near, beware of anger,


He who forgets anger is intoxicated with Hakk.

If one does not pass away, if one does not give up oneself for
yâr (Allah, the beloved),
He has gone astray, do not say anything to him.

Whoever has no hand in servitude,


Anger has seized him, he has no tongue.

Keep your house clean, your mate will come,


What good is a house where your mate is not a guest?

Pure life is necessary in the hands of a friend,


Anger and hatred are obstacles on the way to love.

Be ready for "When will the friend come?"


Tidy up your house, be on guard (wait for the way).

Do not sit proudly on the bed of a friend,


Always stand at the threshold of your beloved.

Do not be heedless (unaware), a thief will enter your house,


If you sleep heavily, he'll break through the wall.
The landlord sleeps, the thief rejoices,
He thinks that he will wake up if he does his work quickly.

That person came so far and still he did not wake up,
He obviously knew that this way is very easy.

Whenever he comes, he does what he knows,


Sometimes he sits, sometimes he expels.

If the house is deserted when the thief comes,


In and out, it's easy for him.

Where have you been? A thief took your house.


He eats and sits, the house is his.

It's nice when you're out and the thief is in,


The end of the matter will soon show its head!

What is this state of yours, in oppression (darkness)?


How long will you sleep in heedlessness?

You have spent your saintly life in anger,


You are in constant oppression because of this habit.

Know well if your anger does not go away but remains,


Azrail (angel of death) takes the life from that vein.

He who washes his hands and face will not save,


If you do not fear the Truth, it is useless for you to recite
Ashr (verse from the Qur'an).

My advice is not to find fault,


All my advice to you is for the Truth.
When you build your outer wall with hypocrisy,
Thieves took your inner city.

Outside the turban, rosary and prayer rug,


The zünnâr (pagan sash) is tied inside, the soul is on his
waist.

Decorate the outside, the inside is ruined,


No one likes it, what is the reason?

What will become of you if you go on like this?


You have no good deeds, you are full of words.

This external worship is useless,


If it is not pure, your secret attribute.

Your bâtin (inner, spiritual) house was taken by a thief,


Your apparent deed (external, visible action) is left out.

This is better for you than all of them,


Your servitude must be secret with your friend.

Then how can this job be enough?


It seems you did not obey the sultan's command.

Death is your shame in front of the kings,


If you have the slightest offence, there's eight kilos there.

Come along, let's get acquainted,


Let's find wherever it's deserted.

Good man, you give me a message,


Where is the hiding place for us?
I've searched high and low,
What if I am a crescent moon, I could not become a bedir
(full moon).

I am tired of this calculating and counting,


If necessary, calculate all over again.

How can there be vitality with this heedlessness?


Can there be unity with this action?

You haven't done one good act in your lifetime,


You didn't say a word with decency.

The word is different in Sultan's court,


It is necessary to be quick in his service.

Whenever a soldier on horseback withdraws from work,


He becomes a servant in the servitude of his sultan.

What advice should I give other than this (now)?


Let him not say I am a servant, who forgets servitude.

If you become a servant, capital is enough,


What bliss, he defeats and wins from the seven heavens.

If your work is done, the heaven and earth are yours,


Whatever you wish is yours.

May you be the soul of the body of this world,


A place to be without you, may you fill it.

You spent days and did nothing,


Summer and winter passed with delusion and doubt.
What kind of a period (age, time) is this, you set up a rahle
(small table) in it?
You used to recite the verse of Ashr (a surah in the Qur'an),
but you stopped on the way.

All these years for knowledge and deeds,


You are at this door, is this your accumulation?

Why is there no way in?


Didn't anyone tell you; "Come on?"

My words are for myself, not humour,


Know that life is one, not in duality.

Woe to him that he remains behind on this path,


Work so that you can get rid of this state.

It's the heedlessness that has put us in this state,


How can he who hears this state be heedless (unaware,
unaware)?

I have not swept the house, who will come to us?


There is no sweeper, who will come and organise it?

This house has been neglected so much,


Who calls a friend: "Come to us!"

I wonder why the road does not pass this way,


Anger has taken the road, know it from every region.

Anger has travelled for a long time,


No one watched it, it was kept secret.

The mind tells the spies at the divan (meeting place):


"Go and find out where is the peace, unity, life and order?"

The spy told him the state of order:


"It is scattered in anger!"

The spy then reached the level of the universal mind,


He reported everything that happened.

No news left reached the mind,


It was up to him to hold back the anger.

The mind thought and weighed and calculated and gave the
news,
He commanded the sergeant, and the soldier gathered.

All this time, what has been said is certain in the court,
A hundred complaints a day come from anger.

Where is patience? When anger comes,


Immediately, peace and order were disturbed and harmed.

He says: "Let patience hold him at once,


His waste has ruined the city!"

Patience came to peace at that time,


Take Ibrahim Edhem as an example in the murder of anger.

Anger has become invisible, there is no trace of it,


We've been through the trail, there's no dust on it.

I have seen this time, order and harmony are pleasant,


They drank the wine of love and became drunk.

Patience, whoever has a mate in the world


Every moment is a profit of pleasure and peace.

I sacrifice my life for you, O owner of patience!


Patience is the food of my soul.

When you're with this patience,


With you, that place will be pleasant.

Yunus, your work is easy with patience,


The patient person will find a special property.

The Saga of Patience


Listen, let me tell you about patience,
The whole world has given its wealth to patience.

Patience defeats all corrupters,


That's why happiness is a donation.

Patience is goodness everywhere,


It always gives freedom to mention and know, acquaintance.

The state of the patient always remains,


Those who are patient will have more fortune.

You heard Joseph in the well,


He waited patiently in the well, which is a moon.

He doesn't know how deep that well is,


If he calls, his voice cannot be heard from outside.

He called, and when the sound did not go out,


He's given up, he won't shout.

He looks up, the mouth of the well is far away,


The place below is stone and earth.

He said: "O Lord, I have committed an offence,


This happened to me out of the blue, out of nowhere.

If this is my grave, where will I end up?


How can I succeed if I am not patient?

He would say this and look up,


His tears flowed like torrents.

At that moment he came to his senses,


He left elsewhere and entered into patience.

With great patience, he found a great state,


His whole state became beautiful with patience.

In this state, the bucket descended into the well,


Seeing it, Yûsuf rejoiced at that moment.

He held on to the bucket, they pulled him,


He said: "Here is the sign of the state!"

They pulled him out of the well,


Praise be to him that he succeeded in patience.

See what Yûsuf attained with patience,


Patience has reached halva ( dessert) with its bitterness.

Whatever patience is, the patient knows again,


The impatient does not look at what it says.

He who has patience ascends to the Throne (to the realm of


God),
For there are various skills in patience.

You need good patience in every state,


They turn poison into honey with patience.

You need patience in every situation,


He remains impatient, chattering.

Whoever has patience,


All his actions are based on patience.

Leave everything, enter the house of patience,


In the house of patience all the virtuous are one.

The path of the Prophet and the guardian undergoes


patience,
If you want to arrive, arrive with patience.

Observe patience, patience, and you will be sainted,


If you observe patience, you will find meaning.

Impatient people's life is raw,


The adventure gets better with patience.

If you want advice, hear it from patience,


If you wish to be approved (corrected), make patience your
profession.

Patience finishes whatever you have to do,


It will lead you to great bliss.

It's entrusted to you, don't give up patience,


With patience you will find Miraj (ascent to Allah) and Tûr (a
sacred mountain).
With patience he reached Miraj,
He who achieves patience dies while alive.

Yunus, if you are faithful, enter patience,


They say to him who is valiant that he should be patient.

No trace of anger remains in the patient,


The patient man gets rid of bad habits.

Let those who wish for state (happiness, power) observe


patience,
"Know that the Truth is with the patient"

With patience, you will be fine,


It comes to those who are patient, inayayet (favour) from
the Truth

Do not be heedless because the way is so sure,


Bandits are many and you will fall into an ambush (trap).

The Saga of Envy and Stinginess


If you'll listen, I'll give you some advice,
Beware of envy and stinginess.

These two commanders from the beginning,


They walk and do what they know everywhere.

Beware of stinginess and envy (jealousy),


May Allah, the One, save you from them.

The envious patient spends every moment,


His skin is strong, his soul groans with trouble.
He escapes from his own loss (harm),
He scatters the seed of evil on the barren ground.

Everything he does is a waste to himself,


Who would doom himself like that?

Even if he eats sugar all the time, it has no flavour,


In sweet peace, he has no name.

The envious cannot do anything,


Whoever digs a well, may he fall into it himself!

I'll let you know how stingy you are,


He spares himself what he eats.

He does not give himself what he earns,


His hands are tied and he cannot eat.

What is your condition, O useless dear?


You have no endeavour, O unstable being!

Look at what state your heart and body are in,


What kind of a person are you, what is your name?

What comprehension is this, what short sight?


You have never been a friend to yourself.

It is impossible for you to be wise, you are stingy,


Don't think you'll get applause from anyone.

Don't love the world, it's all that's left of you,


The enemy will come and take it from you.

You cannot be the owner like Solomon,


The truth is, you can't remain here.

Suppose you were the Solomon of the estate,


This property is without foundation, where is Solomon?

Being stingy has separated you from the Truth,


Where did your endeavour and effort come to?

What benefit does one derive from envy?


Allah gives what you deserve.

He who knows what is needed is the best,


He is all-powerful (precious), He gives, what need is there for
anyone?

You should look at your own share,


Prepare, beware and protect yourself accordingly.

A herd without zakat (charity) and wealth without charity,


No one should be given such a state.

If you don't believe me, watch for yourself,


Observe in yourself what I say.

I don't need to tell you, here's your deed,


It is the mark of your bound hand.

The hand of an innocent person is not bound,


His own deed (his own doing) does not entangle him.

If you don't know your offence, I'll tell you,


I'll take the thief and give him to you.

He who is a companion to the thief gives his head,


Envy makes you fall very low.

Whoever betrays his comrade,


Let him find a curse in every place he arrives.

If you know who your true comrade is,


You will save your life by being truthful.

Stinginess does not reach the master of truth,


The envious does not see this because of his arrogance.

The envious's bazaar is visible everywhere,


His heart's narrowness never goes away for a moment.

That's why his life is in sorrow


He perishes a thousand times in a single moment.

For twelve months of the year he has no happiness,


Whether he eats or not, he is full of anxiety.

No matter what he says, his understanding is narrow,


No matter how narrow, there are a thousand more.

That's why the envious cannot find peace,


Where is he now? Long live you!

There's no profit in envy,


What good is it if it falls out of the heart?

The envious and the stingy do not count,


These are rejected, not at work.

They do not have a clear declaration of unity,


Whatever happens, he has no purity (shame, cleanliness).
He has no fear of the majesty (greatness) of the sultan,
He has no character or nature that anyone likes.

Wherever he is, people are afraid of his word,


No one benefits from his essence

Know him well, he is not an Adam,


The news is from eternity, not from this present age.

A stingy person has no glance,


The greedy ambition is many and not pure.

There is no lesson in the eyes of the miser,


No one can be helped by them.

The sultan is rich, the miser does not see this,


You don't put your hand on anything in case it runs out.

Blessings do not run out, as long as the world stands,


Not one less at any time.

He's been eating it for many years,


He passed through duality and did not say unity!

Every day he sets a new meal on the ground,


He gives new clothes to new people, to those who are new.

New morning, new evening, new mood,


New period, new moment, new union.

New vitality, new fortune, new day,


New organisation, new work, new wedding.
New goblet, new wine, new behaviour (creation),
New love, new assembly, new wine.

See how generous the king of the world is,


He is merciful (pitying, sparing) and hears my sigh.

The resurrection of the stingy man is with Karun,


Like him, he worships wealth.

I'll tell you what Karun is like,


He gave his faith but not his wealth.

The commandment came down for Karun's property,


When he didn't pay the zakat, his religion turned.

When he said, "I cannot give, I cannot donate!" the earth


swallowed him,
His life came from his heel to his knee.

He cried out and said: "Let me give,


Let me remove the shame (weight, sin) from my neck!"

The earth heard this answer from Karun,


He thought it was true, so it stopped the punishment.

The ground left him, he made the donation ready,


He couldn't bear to give it, he lost his life.

He said: "When all these goods are gone from me,


I will not be able to walk the earth.

I will die when these goods diminish,


How can I bear it when I can see!"
When he refused to give the charity, his luck changed,
At this the earth swallowed him up again.

It grabbed him and swallowed him up to his waist,


Now he gives him his own wish.

He saw Karun, not the universe, but his image (face),


The tormentor can't stand it!

He shouts: "Let me go one more time,


I could not see the end of it!"

He stipulated that he would pay the Zakat (charity),


It will remove the state of indecision.

When the earth gave up, he broke the covenant again,


Woe to the man who received that blow.

When he regretted it, he grabbed the ground again,


It swallowed Karun up to his neck.

Come and see how Karun wails,


He helps from the hardness of the heart.

He's buried up to his neck in the ground,


He could not give the property, he will give the life.

He was rigid and prolonged the work,


The merchandise sank before his eyes.

After the goods, he himself sinks,


The earth swallows it every day as long as it is tall.

It will swallow it until the Day of Judgement,


Look at him now, what the judgement will do!

They make a chain of fire with his wealth,


The whole world sees his condition.

This fiery chain goes around his neck,


Servant, slave, common people, the chosen ones all run to
him.

As the people of the gathering place, they see him and say:
“His neck is chained, he is in sin!”

This is the condition of the one who does not give zakat
(charity),
It becomes a chain around his neck, his wealth is this.

He has no remedy, when he sees the miser,


He passes by and the world becomes narrow for his neck.

What is the benefit of wealth to the miser


He lives like a poor person with a hundred thousand goods.

A person's wealth is not with his wealth, his property,


Laugh at the very rich for being poor, laugh!

Lightning struck the miser's heart,


Darkness surrounded him on all four sides.

God has sealed his effort (labor, help)


Who will come and rest in his presence?

Even if you give him a thousand pieces of advice, it won't


help him,
He won't hold his tongue, he curses all the time.
He himself is helpless (poor) from his own essence,
No one can be happy because of him

He has no account with himself,


It seems that he has no open door from the hereafter.

He does not tell anyone where the path leads,


He said “la!” (“no”) at the time of “bela” (‘yes’).

He does not know what “bela” is and what “la” is,


He does not do any work befitting them.

Wherever the miser is, he is with Qarun,


There is no doubt that his end is absolute trouble.

Whoever strays from the path of Truth,


He grabs hold of his own neck and puts a chain around it.

This is the work of all misers,


He remains in hell with torment.

Whoever is known by his stinginess,


There is no power to escape from the fire.

Whoever has no value in knowing his essence,


His eyes are blind, he has no sight.

If the miser had knowledge and skill,


He would beware of it, a sighted person.

So that the servant may be freed from stinginess,


May a path towards God be opened for him.
The mind (knowledge) came and placed a hundred places
before him,
The fire of stinginess had worked on him.

He took the word to tell his situation,


The mind listened to him with ears.

“My sorrow is great, I always worry,


I want to be freed from stinginess.

Life has passed, alas I woke up late,


I thought this world would remain forever for me.

I wish you would cry out for me,


Help this oppressed (tortured) person!”

Now listen to what the universal mind tells him:


“The man who comes to us washes his hands of envy.”

The mind is a person, looking at Allah,


If you obey, obey the mind, it burns stinginess.

In his presence, wishes are acceptable (pleasant),


Whoever is his servant is acceptable.

The mind says; “Come here, open your eyes,


Wherever generosity is, flee to that side.

Let generosity take your hand and take you,


You will see the path of Truth according to its method.”

When the words were finished, generosity came


immediately,
Goodness, threw off the veil from its face.
At that moment, he had all his wealth plundered,
He threw the carcass of this world behind him.

They saw that the carcass fell out,


The misers flocked to it like dogs.

They pulled it and ate it like dogs,


“The world is carcass, and its seekers are dogs!” (a hadith)

Generous people have left their world,


But their faith in Allah is strong.

The sons of men do not love the world,


They wish for the eternal life.

The eternal world appeared to their eyes,


The light of love settled on their faces.

That's why their eyes were opened to God,


Mercy was poured out on them from the treasury.

They left everything they had,


Those who set out on the path like this will find the Beloved.

A thousand deeds cannot reach one abandonment,


Those who do not abandon cannot see the Beloved.

All saints and prophets recommend abandonment,


Well done to him, he who abandons his soul to God.

Abandonment is impossible for those who seek respect,


You do not know what this situation is like?
Those who see the friend are in a very high place,
Where should they go, turn to, those who sacrifice their
hearts to Him.

The hearted man does not lean towards anything,


The beloved loves such people with abandonment and
seclusion (favor).

Those who expect home, wealth and property cannot see


Him,
Unless they completely abandon the mortal world.

The generous man passed from the world with these words,
Because the great man of the path says so.

A generous man rode (won) a hundred thousand


cavalrymen,
He took this field prize and left.

A hundred thousand people who make claims cannot reach


him,
No one can see a single particle of him.

Eight heavenly ornaments are for the generous,


The rest is in reserve for the dervish.

The generous person does not look at heaven,


His heart is not fooled by crown, hulle (heavenly dress) and
houria, it does not flow.

Those who hear Him give up on heaven,


Those who follow abandonment do not want houris and
mansions.
That's why manifestation (appearance, reflection) hits him,
He doesn't lean to any side even a bit.

What should the man who sees manifestation lean to,


What is more beautiful to look at?

What should the one who goes to the friend of the two
worlds do?

The currency is love there, oh the marketer (shopper)!

This capital is nothing in the presence of love,


Existence is null and void in the presence of the friend.

If you are generous, you will receive love,


When your abandonment is complete, you will remain in
love.

Love forgives the price of generosity,


There are strange works in love.

Neither capital nor goods are needed in love,


Two wishes in one heart are impossible!

You are not saying this in vain,


You know only what you want.

Get to know yourself and see where you are,


You are an excuse for your own fortune.

Who knows you better than you,


You spent all your time with this life.

As you live, so you die,


Today is your day, tomorrow is your day.

There is no today or tomorrow for those who hear the truth,


Finish the work today, don't prolong it anymore.

Whoever's account is left for tomorrow,


Suppose he put the fish on the stone (started a job that will
not work).

What good will tomorrow's work do you,


All the shopping has been done here.

This person put his situation on tomorrow,


He put fire on his own head with his hand.

Your Sultan is ready here,


Tell me, what business do you have with tomorrow?

Come to the path of Truth while your eyes can see,


Don't leave your self to your own devices.

Why do you hide yourself for a difficult time,


Why do you keep burning for the apocalypse.

Cook all your raw work here,


The road is far, gather your load here.

The work that does not end here will not end there either,
Is your ear deaf, why does it not hear?

Whoever gave his account and answer here,


Know without a doubt that he has reached his Truth.

The generous heard this situation here,


That is why the reunion with Truth has been established.

Yunus, if you have entered generosity firmly,


Tell me now what have you abandoned on this path?

If you are in your right mind, go to hearts,


Soothe (calm) your rebellious veins.

Do not abandon the advice of the saint,


That saint will save you from all kinds of actions.

Take the advice and do not abandon the skirt of that saint,
Crown on your own head, the soil of that saint's feet.

Do not think that unity is possible everywhere,


Happiness is a good life for you.

Choose a good companion in this world,


Do not let this plane tree of your ego pull your head.

The Saga of Slander and Backbiting


Come now, let me give you some advice,
I wish you good luck and destiny from this little mind.

The world is the place for your mind, the outside of this
province,
The partial mind looks at such a look.

It does not take its eyes off the face of the friend,
It does not talk about being apart from him even for a
moment.

He gave the right order to the city of the friend,


So that the person can reunite with the friend and make
peace.

Because the friend is with him in every breath,


The bird of life does not stay without a friend in this cage.

If you take advice from this news,


The Kharijites (those who oppose Imam Ali) should be exiled
from the city.

A thousand saints united in the city,


They expelled the Kharijites and united their hands.

The enemy was defeated and the city was captured,


Those who served us flew to the sky.

If backbiting is done for so many days,


In the end, there will be consequences, do not blame.

That is why backbiting is not a good deed,


And the one who backbites is not a man.

Because the backbiter becomes a disbeliever,


He gives backbiting whatever his share is.

Whoever has backbiting in his mouth,


He will be defeated everywhere without question.

Backbiting is the filth of a person, in his mouth,


Because the one who backbites will not find mercy
(blessings).

If you are wise, give up backbiting, my friend,


The chest of the one who gives up backbiting will be full.
The king's treasury contains many jewels,
Awake from your sleep and listen to my words.

That is, he reached that door from need,


Whatever his purpose was, he achieved it.

Faith and worship are destroyed by stinginess and


backbiting,
You should give up these two (to give up willingly).

You should always avoid the mortal world,


You should purify yourself from the works that are contrary
to God.

A hundred different morals are hidden inside,


Don't show them to anyone, try to wash them.

Your heart must wash its rust,


Put whatever it deserves.

Never put honey in a pitcher,


For the friend's reunion is in a delicate place.

Polish all your own veins,


And order each one to be a servant.

You must pass from one state to another,


Many winds pass, you must overcome.

You can't find a treasure (purification from evil) if you don't


dig,
How can the heart be purified if it doesn't burn or cook?
Flee from the curse, hear my advice,
If you take my advice, go to the treasure.

Come, I'll make you find the treasure,


I'll tell you what didn't make you find it.

Extend your arm to Hayy and Kayyum (alive and eternal)


work,
The treasury gatekeeper will guide you.

You will get pearls and jewels from the treasury,


All mines and mines will be yours.

Is there anyone who can find the treasure effortlessly?


Leave desire aside if you go forward.

Who eats sugar or honey with desire,


If the price is not paid, the hand will not reach.

Someone will tie the burden of cheap sugar,


If we had heard from that blessed person,

The end of my words is not for sugar,


Whatever I eat, the knower of meaning knows.

The meaning of the word is far from sugar,


If you say let me find it, leave the sugar

Do not love sugar, it ends in Egypt


Whoever loves what he reaches there

Whatever you love, you look for it a lot


The world of sugar did not appear to you
Our city's mountain and stone are all sugar
Nine thousand people always praise Him

It has no resemblance to world sugar


It is a fountain (free) for everyone, there is a lot of sugar
there

If you say let me see Him, leave this world


The soul of the one who takes my advice will rest

Backbiting and spite that does not show you


You think your enemy is a friend, oh poor person

Go and listen to the news of your friend now


Make him a fresh living worthy of him

Hatred and backbiting will keep you away


It will catch you and cook you with the fire of envy

All your rising days are like the night


What is this new day like that passing

The eyeless eat and drink and do not see the world
The moon and the sun rise, but he does not see the moon.

That's why there is a veil in your eyes


He remains in that state in the dark.

His ear hears but does not see his form,


He does not give him the secret of the taste of life.

The grudge and backbiting that do not show him,


If you do not abandon these, they will defeat you.
If I say your eye does not see, you will be angry with me,
You will personally hurt me from that vein.

There are many thieves of eyes inside you,


They eat and drink and sit with you every day.

Your eyes look like dead people, there is no light (Nur),


Those who do not see their essence, what else do they see.

Knowing your essence has become obligatory for you, come,


Do your deeds, deeds will go with you.

You have left your mind, you have forgotten yourself,


You have forgotten what hatred and backbiting are.

Until when will you not see, open your eyes,


You have thrown your essence into the fire.

When a person becomes an enemy to himself,


Being a friend to him is then doubtful.

A person who cannot see is far from love,


Where is the friend, where are you, open your eyes and
look!

If you do not see your beloved, it is not love,


If the eye does not accept, what can the heart do.

Every love tastes first to the eye,


That's why its longing remains in the heart.

The heart's eye does not see, the person has no love,
And those heart-eyed people are full of love.
It is the eye that puts a value on every object,
Who would count money for a worthless object?

There is no one with a blind heart, what does he value,


Who drinks water from a well that has run out of water?

If the heart is paralyzed, the eye is definitely blind,


One must give one's life to God.

Whatever one's eye looks at,


The heart flows to that side without will.

What is the love of a person who cannot see the heart,


The corruption of the eye that makes the heart a slave.

This eye I call not the eye of the form,


I know why I want what I want

The eye is that which always sees that soul,


It is the duty of the servant to see the Sultan.

This is not the eye of the head, it is the eye of the soul,
Whoever has a soul sees the beloved.

That is why he is deprived of the food of the soul,


He who cannot take his eyes off the worldly business.

The soul needs great life now,


This includes neither this world nor the hereafter.

A person who has no life cannot sleep,


That your living finger cannot dip into sleep.

Your eyes did not open, it turns out you have no life,
All your veins are full of sleep.

Three hundred and sixty veins have fallen asleep,


The caravan has gone, your load has remained in the
wilderness (far away, in a foreign land).

Life has passed and gone, you have not woken up,
You have not been fooled by the water of grudge and
backbiting.

That vein of grudge has not yet been broken,


You have spent your backbiting in your hands.

If you wish, I will inform you of backbiting,


I will lift the veil of complaint.

Saying what you see is definitely backbiting,


For the veiled people are not fixed in the Truth.

To say that you do not see is a great slander,


The Holy Quran says so.

Duty, obligation is each person's own word,


His own eye looks at his own path.

When the eye looks from within the heart,


Know that a tyrant also reaches God.

There is no word better than the word of God,


Those who hear God are full of God.

Leave other words, watch yourself,


Watch yourself with your own crime.
No one can be blamed for his crime,
You will not be asked about someone else's crime.

There is no sin for you for my crime,


There is no sin for me for your crime.

He who speaks of others forgets himself,


Don't tell others, they are bad-tempered.

No room is given for words, if spoken, it is empty,


Speech is made by the word of God, it is halal and good.

No matter how much you speak the Truth, speak from God,
You are not allowed to give your heart to someone else.

If you have many words, open them to you,


Be with the truth, and get rid of your own sorrow (trouble).

What do you need from someone else's news,


As it is obligatory for everyone to have their own market.

The one who watches himself does not look at anyone,


If you order something else, he does not look that way.

Stop talking, do not talk, come, you manage yourself,


Do not blame anyone, you hear and advise.

No one's crime will reach you in the slightest,


What someone else eats does not give you pleasure.

Do not be satisfied with what someone else eats,


Do not waste your life for anyone.

How much idleness is like this in you,


What will happen if you stay with yourself for two days?

You have not criticized yourself for a day,


You have not climbed your own mountain for a day.

What would it matter if you overcome your disbelief for a


moment,
What would it matter if you explained and remembered
you?

You are a vagabond now, you have no hands or days,


You have no good with your own faults.

If you had seen your own deeds,


You would not have been left to remember anyone.

If you had seen, you would have made preparations,


You would have taken the account yourself.

If happiness were God's insight (intuition, alertness),


You would have seen what this backbiting has done to you.

A person followed backbiting for many years,


He heard the end result (consequence) himself.

He became regretful, his heart was narrow, his sorrow was


heavy (a lot),
What did backbiting and grudge do to him.

He renews his situation and trouble by telling,


He asks for a solution from the sultan of the whole mind.

He presented all his troubles and conditions,


He turned a blind eye to what the mind said.
The mind ordered the work to be right:
Come immediately, help me quickly!

Truth called its friends,


Those who have reached their essence without deviation.

Now see what truth does,


Backbiting burns the house, it makes a dark place.

The honest swim in the deepest depths,


Those who are true in essence walk in the Throne (in the
presence of God).

Is the place (area) the Throne and the earth (earth) for the
righteous,
There is no curtain beyond, for these people.

Truth is in love with truth, truthful souls,


Those who love the Friend find truth,

A good person is loyal in truth,


Truthfulness heals the hard, difficult work.

All advice is taken from truth,


Honesty's life remains eternal.

I would sacrifice my life for you, my righteous friend,


He who achieves it attains manifestation.

What is eternity, infinite, to the righteous?

There is no apparent or hidden veil for them.


Two worlds are one fire in one glance,
Today and tomorrow are one for the honest.

The righteous do not leave their state for tomorrow,


To say today or tomorrow does not suit that state.

What is seen is what is unseen to you,


Whatever your concern is, that is where your path is.

The sentences are true if you are true,


Truth cannot be found if you are crooked.

Don't go to a different path, you are a stranger, you are


indifferent.
You are an excuse for your life.

Everyone is like a mirror, you are the one looking,


Your eye is the one who informs you.

Whatever you look at is your own face,


Whatever you see in someone is your own essence.

If you run for a thousand years, it won't leave you,


Your deeds won't go anywhere.

Let honesty be your robe (silk dress) that moment,


Let all the people say they are right.

Let the eye show truth to your look,


So that bad deeds are carried away from you.

When you light the candle, darkness flees,


Your essence lights up and opens the door of light.
The date for the word was seven hundred and seven,
Yunus sacrificed his life for this path.

The lamp was lit, the correct evidence was found,


The house became bright and the thief was known.

The lamp I call the light of faith is absolute,


God shows his face to the believer.

That thief I call the devil wanders around,


Who arranges a thousand mischiefs within himself at every
moment.

If you destroy your position with worship,


You will reach your desire with the state.

Oh heedless, you did not know that your life will pass,
Death will come and reveal your shame.

As this life of yours passes, oh heedless!


You keep asking: "Where does the road lead?".

Leave this idea to yourself at all times


Let the speech end here, for God knows best. (Allah knows
